I think you have major blinders on right here, damo effectively brought the game back to D1, he really didnt do anything he gave us an opportunity to go for a multikill here D2, and have a fairly good shotworcej wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:44 pmOne kill was the worst result possible.
Mafia is a team game damo. We're (probably) trying to win as a team. You made an incredibly selfish move contrary to what a majority of your teammates wanted just because you believe something and waited until the last second to do that thing. I have put significant effort in this mini-game right here and you just made it almost impossible for town to win next phase by setting up.
Human to human here, no game motivation here: I've not been this angry since I had that meltdown with ghug and Durga where I called her a certain name and got a multi-game ban. I want to go nuclear for what you just did at the end of that phase - I know it's irrational, but I am just so done with mafia now after that by you.

The reason I didnt vote for you was very simple. The wagon on you was based off a simple misunderstanding, and now that I look at it, those who jumped on you are looking very sus.damo666 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:47 pmWell yes. I mean I don't know but I got that feel so I did what I think best. Flav's top townreads coincided with mine and he could have easily voted me if he were scum, he didn't so he isn't. Simple as that.GlitterBomb wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:43 pmAgain, that’s assuming that they’re all town. When it seemed like we were all pretty aligned on who we thought wasn’t. So again, why is Flav so obviously town in your eyes?
Additionally I felt if we were going to vote a lurker D1, the best one to do was fischl, not the dude who literally just contributed

Did read what I said about damo's move? Do you still think its an open scum power play or maybe just maybe it was just a smart move? Im not saying damo shouldn't die D2, we have lots of kill to go around after all.President Eden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:51 pmsir yes sir
humble suggestion - don’t be mad at caught scum damo for making open scum power plays

??? If you wanted information N1 NK is the best one for that, fischl was a genuine candidate to be killed D1, was he truly the best for that? NO. He's a wasted MK in the scenario you wanted.
Instead he's been made into something worthwhile , we essentially reset the game! An opportunity for a D1 but with more info

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I dont get why scum damo would do that, whose he really saving? Remember I said this is a new D1 we have, he's just delaying the inevitable. The only way this is a great move by scum damo is if we choose to only kill one person this day(damo). Making the game...3-2 in D3. Not great.President Eden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:57 pmYea so as I teased a moment ago, damo’s play only makes sense from scum perspective IMO.
Being confident in your townreads is good enough reason to stop the triple kill, because you’re not actually depriving town of a town-directed kill by slowing things down to 2 kills instead of 3. But it’s not good enough reason to derail the double kill because it takes away our ability to safely double kill next turn and possibly engineers our demise if the mafia figure out how to force a double kill next phase.
I firmly believe town damo would have worked that out and chosen one of two townreads between Will and Flav to save. It’s just too much of a selfish hero play for town damo IMO. And it perfectly aligns with scum incentives if you’re already not long for this world.
Real questions to me are:
(1) should we not simply double kill tomorrow anyway despite the risk? I am that confident damo is scum here.
(2) does scum damo do that if his partner is also one of Flav or Will?

Actually I just had a pretty interesting idea. What IF we killed will & me this turn, then one other.
Since damo is a lock kill anyways why waste that kill today ?
I almost think any 3 kill combo is going to get at least one mafia

We should treat whatever worcej says as basically gospel , and since we get multiple kills today we should also do the opposite , that way if they killed worcej cause hew as getting close to the truth, boom we got a mafia.
If they killed worcej cause he was way oof, boom we got a mafia
Either way its perfect.

I’m going to keep hammering this home for visibility for anyone catching up and feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of the discussion here. It’s a pretty fascinating problem in the abstract, but trying to get your head around it all might be stressful when the game is riding on it.President Eden wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 12:27 amIn short:
- You should advocate for a triple kill if you wisely recognize our only realistic chance of winning is to hit mafia today, and you believe we can overcome the coordination problem of needing to maintain a tie against hostile actors.
- You should advocate for a double kill if you also wisely recognize our only realistic chance of winning is to hit mafia today, but you are worried about the coordination problem.
- You should advocate for a single kill if your short-term risk-aversion prohibits you from seeing past your nose.
I firmly believe this is objectively correct no matter who you think is town or mafia, and that the debate is mostly over which 2 or 3 people to kill (and secondarily whether to kill 2 safely or try for 3).

My problem is that damo is shading GlitterBomb here for not voting damo + the 2 people damo saved + a flipped townie, then in other posts he angles for towncred because his actions “saved townies.” By his own reasoning he shouldn’t be attacking GlitterBomb here.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Sun Aug 04, 2024 1:01 amThis is actually pretty wild, if you think damo messed up the day than so did Glitterdamo666 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 11:01 pmThere are 2 live mafia as you well know.GlitterBomb wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:56 pm

OK I just thought of a LEGENDARY IDEA, Im going to colorcode the FINAL vote total for D1, and no one better say "oh this is just so he can contribute without actually contributing" because I AM! I just thought this would be a neat idea since I didnt realize that Glittr didnt vote for top 4 wagons like damo said.
