Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I want to find some way to town you damo, but I can't with how this setup is designed. Being a selfish player via self-preserving and forcing daykill ties is your MO as both scum and town, so that's NAI.
Town!Damo wouldn't have knee-capped us as willingly as you did. One-kill opened the door for scum to cheese the win too easily and deprived us of valuable information on flav/will that at least would help narrow down suspicion.

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I have proposed a solution. You should all nominate a scum pair. We then rank top 3 and top 2 survivors are the policy vote tomorrow.

This just makes me think it’s damo and somebody we’re wrong about lol.
I need to think about the correct hedge. If we hit mafia then we’re honestly not in too bad a shape at that point, so it seems to me the vote should be damo + the most likely scum candidate in town!damo world. I don’t know who that is yet though.

Honestly, I don't trust you in any shape or form after how you handled the end of D1 and are trying to brush it aside.
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I think you were correct in his most likely partner is in flav or will because it establishes an explanation for his play, as it was really the best possible chance for him and his scum partner to stay relevant this game.President Eden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 11:17 pmThis just makes me think it’s damo and somebody we’re wrong about lol.

Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I have this nagging feeling I’m missing some obvious exploit that punishes us here, but I think any risk is mitigated by making sure damo is one of the two votes, so I guess I don’t mind. I think I would prefer it if we collectively came to a good answer to “Who is most likely scum if damo is town?” and just voted them alongside damo though instead of giving scum a list of our suspects to manipulate as we’re probably doing right now by playing his game.

Damo is a lock for me. Wrt to partners I think it could be anyone below my feel good line. Flav remains the most suspicious to me, but now I feel like you stalled this kill to send us to 5-2 here, expose us to some chicanery where you throw a vote to get it to 3-1 and pray that we guess wrong on your buddy.
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
Bussing might've garnered him some credit there, but he'd still have a hard battle to overcome and the scum team still has an easy out with vote D2 shenanigans

This. It feels like Damo is trying to resuscitate the &&vote system you created after the entire town, including yourself, abandoned it because worcej and I pointed out how abusable it was.President Eden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 11:20 pmI have this nagging feeling I’m missing some obvious exploit that punishes us here, but I think any risk is mitigated by making sure damo is one of the two votes, so I guess I don’t mind. Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
I wish I had the time to go back and dig up all the games where damo forced ties or last-second fucked with votes to save a teammate/himself...
My memory tells me he did that almost exclusively as scum a couple times but at least once self-saved himself as town.

Rather than doing the weird ass top 2 vote thing, I'll give a full read list at EoN.
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
How about we all vote who we trust most as Town and whoever that is nominates the two at start of D2 with nobody voting before that declaration under pain of hammerdeath. If the top town is NKd #2 nominates.President Eden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 11:20 pmI have this nagging feeling I’m missing some obvious exploit that punishes us here, but I think any risk is mitigated by making sure damo is one of the two votes, so I guess I don’t mind. That's reasonable. And I'm hardly likely to win that vote lol.
Under this regime (which I think less scum manipulable) I nominate Eden.
There you go. Voting for my own death in a game where self-voting is not allowed. How unselfish is that?

What the fuck is this
Re: WebMafia Olympics - Game #2 - Star Trek TNG: The Republic of Q [GAME THREAD]
If Damo is town, I don't feel confident in naming a known scum pair based off D1 as it stands because Will and Flav are still question marks to me.President Eden wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 11:20 pmI have this nagging feeling I’m missing some obvious exploit that punishes us here, but I think any risk is mitigated by making sure damo is one of the two votes, so I guess I don’t mind. I scum Flav well above Will though - Flav's push for the one-kill D1 result strongly tipped the scales for me.
