No worries. We just decided to adjudicate the lynch on our own. Jamiet was the leading vote getter, and so we just decided that he is dead, and he was scum, so we adjudicated it that way. Do we need to go back and change anything?

Instead, I'd rather have strategy discussions like "whether to declare if you have the box" as I find reactions and stances drawn over such topics on D1 to be more useful than personality shifts.

For instance... I have never played with a miller... but why don't we just have the millers declare... we don't want the cop (or other PRs) to waste his time on them... and if more than 2 declare then we have a separate smaller scum pool. I can see one obvious downside, but I am not sure it outweighs the potential gain of having two clears/forcing a scum to reveal (which will be extra tricky prior to the N1 QT)

Millers do not know that they are Millers. Their role PMs say they are VTs.

Well then great Balki and Xorxes provide us with your bountiful wisdom before your potential fearkill for being a soothsayer...

Also, Town has an Observer and Mafia doesn’t. Observer is pretty darn critical, and will help us assess claims about the Box and PR claims later on.

Let’s keep PR and Box information quiet on Day 1. No fake claims. No real claims. Let’s just hunt scum.

@ Balki - Why do you think PR/Box/Claiming should remain quiet on D1... isn't this the best day to get reactions prior to mafia getting a QT to hash it out... moreover I've made a note to ask you on D2 to explain why you think Observer is so critical... and if it is so critical should we be putting some system in place to allow the observer to crumb more easily?

I just finishing reading the 20 hours of posts that I missed, and here are my opinions on the major debates:

Jamie vs. worcej: I did not think too much of worcej's speculation about the box starting with town, but his answering Jamie by citing the role PM issue from an old game seemed defensive, and really had nothing to do with what Jamie was asking about, and I therefore find it suspicious.

DemonRHK vs. yavuzovic: I did not notice the “slip” when I originally read yavuzovic’s message, I do not think there is anything here.

ND vs. damo: I agree it is too early in the game to scum read damo for not playing as well as previous games, ND looks suspicious here.

Vecna vs. xorxes: I did not find anything xorxes did unusual, and I agree with Durga that risking mislynching xorxes would be doing the scum’s work for them. Vecna looks suspicious for pushing a xorxes lynch then backing off without explanation after Durga’s comment.

PRs/Box holders have clear advantages from staying hidden. They can, for example, avoid being killed or RBed by mafia. They also become much more powerful as they gain information, and the roster gets smaller. So, I think it's pretty clear we don't want claims on Day 1.

We can talk about Day 2 claims on Day 2. I'd rather we focus on sorting alignments.

I don't think there is any mystery about why the Observer is critical. There is quite a lot visiting that will be going on around here. Visits that can confirm alignments. I think there is a good chance that the Observer will be able to catch at least one bad guy, maybe more than one. And even if Observer doesn't catch a bad guy, their very presence makes it difficult for mafia to fake claim. Observer is my hero.

A system in place to allow Observer to crumb more easily? I don't really know what that would be. I would suggest that our observer not crumb at all. Crumbs don't really say much, as they are easily faked, and mafia will be scouring the thread for them. Not worth the risk.

I think damo might be scum. When I was scum last game I legit fear killed him because he was on fire with his play. His reads this game are indicative of low effort and bs. His vote on yav is a pile on it vote. His play is scum play. ##vote damo
