Primarily famous for being a religious leader, theologian, philosopher, scientist, mathematician, historian, and/or inventor?
I was reflecting on the fact that the words "Is this person" were likely missing from this question: DreamTrawler probably meant "Is this person primarily famous for...".

Then, I realized that the answer to this amended question would depend on what the meaning of the word "is" is.

Anyways: I think that "Yes." is the best answer to this question.
Little lost here. I assume those two sentences would mean the same thing? Just like “Was this person born in X?” vs “Born in X?” What did you mean by the definition of the word “is”?
It might just be a fun reference to the last round, but it could also be implying that this person was best known for one thing in his lifetime, but now better remembered for something else.

Born in England?

If yes => free guess Isaac Newton?

If no => Born in Scotland?
If yes to England, free guess - Robert Hooke

Just covering my bases :D

I will actually scratch my guess and amend it to the following:

If yes to England - primarily known for science?

If yes to that, free guess - Robert Hooke

If no, free guess - John Locke

damo didn't make his guess conditional on the later DT science question (which obviously rules out Newton), but I will use QM prerogative and refund the guess as a token of penance for Day 1 of Mafia #88.

No to all of these guesses. (I guess the Fox and Bunyan ones were conditional, so they don't count.)
