Why would you ask this question?President Eden wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 8:06 pmLol.
Who’s the mafia, foodcoats? You keep deflecting.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
@Bunny: Something to do with a grandparent moving to the US in the 40’s and Austrian survivorship laws for Jewish refugees and their descendants which caused you to consider or apply for dual citizenship. (Paraphrased.)
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
@Ezio: Yoyo would like to know if you are still upset that he built the Hanging Gardens before you.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Ha. I am convinced Foodcoats can talk to the dead, so at least his role is real.
Ask him if he's pissed about the time he got great library stolen by someone chopping trees.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
It *for sure* happens. Mafia does not always hedge. Especially when, like this game, you've been playing like such a block.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 8:04 pmEzio, Eden:
I think you should think more deeply. You are just as convinced I am scum as I was convinced sweet was. You believe the game is in a neat little bow and that there is a single interpretation of the game that "must" be correct. You apparently see no world where scum would hedge until the final second - just as I could not believe sweet would claim Iatrophobe as town. In particular, your belief that scum would all transparently sit on Bunny at 10 minutes out, despite the evidence presented in the thread which made for a mechanically correct Monarch elimination, suggests you have not played Mafia before, which I know is not the case, so I encourage you to remember past games where this has happened against you (I know I have seen the final votes come in from the people I most townread just before the "Hold" message and felt my stomach drop out).
I apologize for the bad play on my part. But if you are town, you are also playing badly by not learning from the last miskill that appearances can be deceiving.
Pushing for the miskill while appearing like a town PR is perfect play. It's worked on previous days.
A significant factor as to why I voted Sweet was because many of my town reads were there, and more of my scumreads were on Will. It makes perfect sense to me that Mafia would go for that play again.

Haha. Sometimes in these situations I have told people what my scumtell is. I don’t think it will matter to you, and I’m against the odds to roll it soon, so I’ll hold onto it this time.Ezio wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 8:15 pmIt *for sure* happens. Mafia does not always hedge. Look man. If you had moved onto Monarch before Eden, you'd have towncred. I'd be unsure who the Mafia busser was.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 8:22 pmHaha. Your panic only came after Eden moved back onto the correct wagon, and I guess you thought it was somehow more likely we'd get a miskill on him than that someone else would flip back onto Bunny.
That's just *too* terrible. At too critical a time.
And if you're town, we already should have lost. Mafia could easily have moved last minute, like you said, but they didn't lol.
It's over.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
One thing from this whole night discussion that has surprised me:
Everyone who has spoken has been 100% sure that I'm town and drawn conclusions without even examining that assumption.
Bona has been sure I'm going to die tonight.
Ezio, Pres Eden, aaro, food, Bona all patting themselves on the back for not killing town yesterday in SvT and clearing themselves.
And I *am* town. But from my perspective this shift in attitude about me is odd.
From the start of night, I've fully expected that I live and the scum team pushes the WIFOM of "hmm...maybe it was SvS and this is ALL scum theatre and you don't know anything!"
So...I don't know what to make of this.
Are town just reading into me correctly?
Are scum setting it up for a "surprise!" when I don't die and they can push the narrative?
I don't know.
But I do know that there's one other assumption: That we were at KiLo. Conclusions like "Eden is lock town for switching" stem from both that fact AND that I'm town (which I know...but you all seem sure about anyways).
There's also something to note having been on the scum side of these EODs at KiLo: It's harder to switch away from a bus than it seems. You look REALLY bad if you switch away just as someone else switches to it for "no ties!" or whatever.
So this is why Eden is my strongest townread, and the other people voting Mad are a bit lower (but still good).
Anyways, good luck to us. I do think we dodged a bullet yesterday, and managed to get the intel we finally needed in this endgame.
I'm reminded of the recent game when our illustrious GM played some tight shenanigans with ##end and whatnot to get me all the intel I needed in the game, but didn't have it himself.
So let's finish strong, and good luck to us staying the course.
I'll be voting William the Just Guy today if they don't eliminate me.
I have no extra intel for town besides what I told them previously. Every other night I saw nothing while watching and so learned nothing.

Unfortunate aaro, and maybe others, are aware or can figure it out. Not a great question by me

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
I’m posting a little early cuz idk if I’ll be able to time it.
Mafia might try to WIFOM Bunny by keeping him around and killing me and framing it all as scum theater. Don’t let them. A detail easy to lose in all this: the PR numbers worked out too well for Bunny to be fakeclaiming. If foodcoats were town PR then he truthfully reported ghug’s VT claim, meaning that there should be another town PR out there if Bunny is actually mafia. Technically, it’s still possible the tadpole messed with things… realistically, the possibility is remote, and the play makes little sense. Do not let the mafia work you over with WIFOM silliness if they leave Bunny alive. Only if a truly ironclad and unimpeachable surprise claim happens should you even have to rethink him.
I suspect you will kill Will before worc. Please don’t succumb to paranoia and BS in final-5. Finish the job and get them both. foodcoats is very likely to be the last one, I’ll leave it to your judgment to work that part out. (There should be enough info from Will & worc flipping to get you across the finish line.)
Honestly I expect I’ll be here tomorrow to help, but in case I’m not, there you go.

Meanwhile at the Taco Bell
Customer: I want a number 6, beef, and then uhhh, for the drink I will take a Code Red Mountain Dew.
Drive Thru Guy: let me check with my manager… (in background) hey, this guy wants a code red. Isn't that the secret password?
Customer: What? I can hear you in the background saying that's a password. Password to what?
Manager: Have you been watching us?
Customer: Watching… what? The taco bell? No I watch lots of twitch videos of people streaming Baldurs Gate 3. That's all I do man.
Manager: (Assumes Flayer Form) We will see about that. Are you Minsc?
Customer: I just want my Chalupa dude. Please. I have money. Just take my money.
Manager: Minsc, where is Boo?
Customer: Boo?

BunnyGo has died, he was Minsc of the Harpers, the Gloom Stalker
