Father Clement came to Java in 1641. He was joined by the good Baron Kenchyvik, Millka the cow, and the Great Engineer kakflakkaflak. Clement was not well received for his efforts to undermine the staunchly Lutheran faith of Denmark. The Danes originally feared Clement a Catholic but instead he was truly a Calvinist. The Colony expelled him to exile, assuming he would starve in the Jungle. He continued to travel around Java preaching the Calvinist doctrine where he could find anyone willing to listen.

In his defense the people of Java wanted none of that, and when Clement finally died, it was during an invasion by the hands of Sultan Agung’s desperate invasion into Batavia. When the harpers arrived in Java, Elminster himself could not find a more stubborn calvinist than Clement.

His behavior wasn’t scummy. As I pointed out MANY times today by asking what the possible scum agenda was.

I’m pretty sure I have the single greatest position of all remaining players to sit here and beat up on sweet for playing badly. Bro’s case against me was terrible and it basically guaranteed he would die.

But as I asked back when there was a chance to save him—why would scum do that?

The answer is they didn’t. But that answer was apparently a total surprise to most of you.

So where’s the solving? Where’s the reassessment and realignment? Where’s any posting at all?

some quick thoughts for now on top of my previous ones:

- on the surface I want to townread Bunny for shopping so aggressively for alternative options. but saving sweet as a final miskill would have benefited mafia, so maybe not. unhelpful, but if Monarch is mafia then he’s probably clear, if Monarch is town then he’s maybe mafia maybe not.

- I kind of vaguely feel like Ezio might be mafia and is just doing a good job acting. his posts feel townie and his frustration was highly relatable at multiple points. but I’m also not sure that it’s a stretch to read the room and make relatably frustrated posts as mafia. bottom line is that he landed on town!sweet when we could have killed Will, the guy he put on blast for suspicious behavior last cycle. might be a case where I have to look past some fairly townie looking talk and assess by actions.

- it’s kind of weird how okay everyone is with killing Monarch yet only Bunny really acted on it. I feel like this should mean something but I haven’t unpacked what it is. I would have taken Monarch over sweet, but I didn’t trust the vibe I got from Bunny, and Will seemed like both a better shot for mafia and a more realistic counterwagon.

- I don’t have a lot of reason to mistrust Colby, foodcoats, or Bonina at this point, and if Will is scum like I think, then aaro should be good too? I guess in that world the team is four of Will/worc/Monarch/Bunny/Ezio? that sounds pretty solid tbh.

if we actually got every single day here wrong except for when town PR D&W literally held our hand and forced us to pick him or a mafia, and except for when town PR Foxcastle shot his shot on Flum, and even NOW in the penultimate day we had TvT… I’m not really sure what you do at that point lol.
