idk i felt like ther ewas a better way to ask a more general questionBaronVonRichthofen wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 5:29 pmYeah, that was kind of the point of my original question. I was next going to ask about the British Isles but other people beat me to asking questions.Hominidae wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 5:25 pmSo the answer ended up being "no", but why should I have scratched this? Lots of places are in Europe but not continental Europe, including Great Britain and Ireland.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 5:01 pm

Yes and yes! Ibn Battuta is correct. Born in Tangier (Morocco), but purportedly visited places as far as Kilwa (Tanzania), Astrakhan (Russia), Java (Indonesia), and Beijing (China).

I was debating between picking Mansa Musa and ibn Battuta and decided to go for the less well known one, but that was a good guess as well.

Mansa Musa was on my list of potential picks for quite some time. I am glad you made a pick from that region and time period.DreamTrawler wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 6:06 pmI was debating between picking Mansa Musa and ibn Battuta and decided to go for the less well known one, but that was a good guess as well.
