that was intentional for scum power.

Fun fact! If that scum power exists, then sweet is scum! Because otherwise they could freeze it here!!

So either don't worry about it, or vote sweet!
I thought about it more and I think if scum has a vote freeze PR, they'll probably want to save it as long as they can instead of cementing a lead wagon. If sweets is town (which I think he is) and that PR exists, they just let him get miskilled. Then the next day, they just freeze it when a few town members are on split wagons and then scum consolidates for a win.

Which is all to say, I think you're not thinking through your PR mechanics which feels very odd given how you usually play this game.
In the meantime, care te weigh in on my two mech questions above?
Are the two questions the ones about claiming? Or asking why I think they wait until it's the last kill?

I don't see why scum would freeze the vote to kill a leading town wagon when they could just push that town to be miskilled and not give away info. If it leads to a win, they don't need to use it when there's a lead wagon - just when scum can guarantee that enough of them haven't voted (and so can consolidate) that they can force a miskill.

fair enough.

I think I responded to this already. I think that any town with a depleted PR should claim. It technically gives scum more info, but we need info a lot more than they do at this point. Necro falls under that umbrella. If a town PR has not depleted their PR, they should not claim in my opinion.

Should VTs claim?

This is a subtly different thing.

I don't think so. If town PR doesn't claim, it means they have a potentially useful PR left. So you're essentially forcing them to lie by claiming VT. I'm assuming scum PR will also claim VT.

The only way we gain any info from this is if the town PR refuses to answer the question and that just outs them to scum. I don't see why we'd want this.

Like more info is definitely more fun, but that doesn't mean it's going to help us win.

To give up on powers and instead just work on POE and mafia.

Getting the VTs to claim force the scum to hide in the VTs or in the PRs...but gets us a bunch of clears either way.

True...

I think I'd like the necro to claim to start.

I'm really curious if my guess is correct. I thought I saw a crumb.

Now that I have a chance to be on my computer, I'm going to compile my towncore and put together my general POE. Names are in alphabetical order with tiers:

Town
  • foodcoats
  • President Eden
  • sweetandcool
Town-ish
  • Ezio
  • Worcej
Null
  • Col7by
  • TheMadMonarch
Scum-ish
  • Bonatogether
  • BunnyGo
Scum
  • JustAGuyNamedWill
I really don't like how Will acted near EOD. And I also don't like how he disappeared and then the wagon just up and vanished.

I do admit that if he flips town (which I think is unlikely), we're in a really bad spot, but I don't really think that matters at this point. We just need to hit scum.

If a wagon doesn't pick up steam by close to EOD, I'll be willing to switch to anyone in my null or scum-ish tiers.

i don’t see a need for claims right now, but whoever it is better claim with enough time not to make EOD a shitshow.

…unless it needs to be? idk

i don’t think claiming right now makes much sense

I think the discussion is fruitless because Necromancer is Mafia.

Please note, if Necromancer happens to be Town I am not going to auto scumread you if you claim. Not going to auto Town you either.

When did sweet go from me being his lock town to me being his lock scum? Was it exactly when I started scum reading him or did he bother faking a progression?

anyways...nearing midnight. Goodinght.

If the necromancer doesn't claim, then I agree with sweet they must be scum.

And since the person I think crumbed is somewhat widely townread...that'd be problematic.

If they don't claim and you think the crumble was intentional, you can just out them (but please don't do it right before EOD)

I'd be willing to do that but not this far out from EOD when Will feels scummier.

This seems an error by you.

I'm happy to point out the crumb I see (say in 9 hours or so), but it doesn't mean that the person who posted it IS the necromancer; it's a good crumb in that it isn't definitive...just suggestive.

But I agree, no claims with less than 3 hours to go.

So I hope they claim soon.
