A fell wind rustles through the moon-silvered necropolis. Skeletal fingers claw the earth and the restless dead awake…

HamiltonBrian: “Hmm ... what would those fungus people taste like, I wonder... would they make a good lager?”

Kakarroto: “Hey, brainbomb, what if I make a new character, Alleria Watersong, half-elf, mage, Queen of Covendale, travelling with her brother Vereece on a diplomatic mission, can I join the game again?"

brainbomb: "Absolutely not."

Kakarroto: "But I have her stats and fifty pages of background story and illustration pictures in all different kinds of poses already prepared! Please, I want to vote out ghug!”

brainbomb: "I said no!"

Kakarroto: “What if I vote out Jamie or lfischl?”

Diplomacy&Warfare: "Just give it up. You’re dead, why even follow this game anymore? Besides, it’s really Vecna who’s scum."

HamiltonBrian: "Pretty sure sweet is town, but Bunny’s reaction to him is strange… Bunny could be mafia."

Kakarroto: “Of course sweet is town! He’s a deadeye, alright. Bona, fox, Vecna, RHK… Squiggs probably all town, too.”

damo666: "I can see scum!ghug, but I think bona should be next. Can’t be arsed to read so many pages, though. Brian, what did you say about mushroom lager?”

Kakarroto: "Noooo, bona can't be an Illithid, he has to be a harper! I explained it in my background story!"

HamiltonBrian: "What does your background story say about the taste and nutritional value of fungus people?"

Kakarroto: "You should really think about making a character from the underground. Drow, maybe, or Duergar."

HamiltonBrian: "No thank you, I don't want to get voted out again purely for what my character looks like.”

damo666: "Did anybody see Balki?”

Brainbomb: “Mushroom people don’t have to slumber uneasily unless they choose to…”

HamiltonBrian: “I changed my mind, Vecna is probably scum. He tastes like a mushroom, too. Or maybe Flum.”

Brainbomb: “You’re all dead! Shutup!!!”

The sun rises and the spirits return to their uneasy slumber…
Okay, upon reread this can probably be read plainly as the dead giving their opinions about the game. I don't know why there is weird flavour stuff but whatever. As I mentioned before, Kak establishes authenticity by referencing the RPG that we played, which Food wouldn't know about.

Obviously if Food is Town we shouldn't have to be worried about distortion of the messages (not that I would expect him to mess with them as Mafia either, except possibly if we flip Necromancer or something).
This is suspicious by sweet.

@sweet why wouldn't scum!food be able to transcribe that information?

@anyone else scum!sweet being too believing here?

Sigh....dishes Bunny! Go do dishes! THEN DO YOUR STUDY SESSION!!
Technically he could have kept Kak's authenticity seal while altering different parts of the message.

But really it probably wasn't much worth it for him to do so.

And on top of that Kak very clearly indicated the messages were true. Again, it's possible Food managed to avoid messing with the authenticity seal while altering the contents of other parts of the message, but this time part of it is incredibly well hidden, so other than sheer luck I am pretty sure he wasn't able to fake any part of it.

TONIGHT… ON GRAVECHAT…
Deadly serious news - for the living

The undead are complaining that a Priest of Pelor is forcing them to touch his netherparts and should not be trusted. In particular the Bogey of Brian says the Priest may have been PR hunting. The Priest counters that the person he thinks is a PR is still alive.

The Ghost of Ghug says that Mad Monarch always scum reads him for “<expletive deleted> reasons,” but that her doubling down on her “<expletive deleted>” read even after he is dead looks like she is scum pretending to be her town self.

The Crypt Thing of Kakarroto speaks in tongues and is likely insane. We reproduce a quote from this disturbed undead for you here in its entirety, at the risk of the Gravechat hosts beings smitten by the gods, because we don’t understand a lick of it - and our journalistic integrity extends beyond the veil of death:

"Father Clement, oh dear friend, Pauli, Milka and Haakon wonder, if the Sultan has changed your mind, and turned you.

If not, take one of our Quinine, and ease your mind, because the messenger put the thoughts of us out pretty unchanged.

Also did you forget about Alleria and Persuasion?"

The Bogey of Brian believes dousing, food, sweet, with the possibility of 1 more in there from the tadpoling are mushroomfolk.

The Crypt Thing of Kakarroto believes that if sweet is mafia, then mushrooms are sweet, yoyo, jamie, Will/dousing; and if food is mafia, then food, jamie, Eden, Monarch.

The Phantom of Flav thinks sweet and yoyo are shroomlords and food is a Harper.

The Dirge of Dip&War would like to be included.

The Daemon of Demon thinks there is a correlation between colby, Bunny, and Eden. 50/50 on food. Monarch needs to go on policy.

The Persistent Fart of Flum says, “See you in hell, Fox!”
Okay yeah sorry no new revelations since I last responded to this.

Kak scolded me for not noticing his message last time and is worried I am tadpoled (probably not just because I missed his message). I don't know who the Priest of Pelor is, but the ghosts don't trust him. Food's role is cleric, which is a priest, but they also refer to him as the messenger.

And then obviously the rest of the message includes their guesses for scum, which notably does include Food.
For clarity, the priest is me. They said they do not 100% trust me.

You dirty bird (;

Anyways, this doesn't in itself change my read on you. But I hope it helps the thread to know that the messages are certifiably unaltered. Thank you Food for being a reliable messenger.

Though I totally recommend we hold off flipping you, since it is nice to chat with graveyard.

Foodcoats same question to you. What do you think of Bona's d3?
I actually think Bona seems highly convinced Flav is scum. He does not seem hedgy at all.

That EOD is the main reason I townread Bona now. There are certainly good reasons to think he is scum, but I don’t think I would wagon him today unless bereft of better choices (and I think there are quite a few).

He's not wild. But it's possible Daychat could influence behavior.

Damn, because I'm sure Kak could really write up some good shit to share.

He was the best co-GM I've ever had and that's saying something considering Darg is the resident one

##loveyoudargpleasedon'thateme
I remember having access to dead people in my previous game and had no idea what Kak's messages meant. They had some limitations I guess and he was trying to get me to look at specific post numbers.
I never got the memo until post game.
Was this the pairs game? So is this graveyard thing going to take up a lot of focus and then ultimately be worthless?

I’m in the office now and have a fairly light day planned so I’m hoping to catch up on the last day or so of posts. However it looks like I have a 1:30-2pm meeting on my schedule and 2pm is eod in my time zone so I won’t be around for it. Webdip is also banned by our work firewall for some reason so I’ll be on mobile so I’ll be keeping my posts short and not well formatted.
can i recommend a vpn?
For my work desktop? That’s going to be a hard no tbh.

It really oughtn't too.

Basically unless you really respect the ability of a dead player to solve, it's practically useless.

It does establish that Food has the Knowledge role. Unless he is anonymous in their chat and then technically IF he is Mafia, he could be role swapping with a teammate. Unlikely, but technically possible.

It could be helpful if we flip Necromancer and they are Town. That's about it.

fakeclaiming that role as scum and then impersonating all the dead people woukd be so much fun lol.

I dont think at all thats whats happening though.

did ghug not say anyrhibg about his role food?
There’s no way that would happen though. Too much risk that that role exists and is town or the other role that brings a ghost into chat exists and is town. I already thought food was town due to VCA as well.

Responding to this and not the huge posts in this area but this sequence from food is so town. Need to pause here though to eat dinner.

I am the master of bullshit

My reasoned thought is that bona is scummy because of his push on flav via the D3 ISO. Bona just seems like his shitposting self otherwise
What's scummy about Bona's push on Flav, specifically. Plenty of other people were on Flav.
How adamant he was and how he was practically begging for votes
i cite any number of town (and scum!, although not recently) games where i have done the exact same thing, word for word

essentially what I'm getting at by asking y'all to look at Dousing and Bona is 2 fold.

1: I think Bona did odd wagon analysis. I talked to Bona for a bit on night 4 I think about the Wagons D3. I got confused there, which happens but usually when people say odd things.
What I find odd about Bona's analysis *now* is that it excluded *their *wagon. They were just arguing with other people about stuff even closer to EoD.

I find it odd that Bona hasn't talked about that wagon, and the case or pushes against them.
Whenever *I* get pushed, I can find people towny or scummy based on how they push. I tend to get decent reads out of it. I think lots of people feel similarly.

Bona hasn't done that. I think that's scummy.

Dousing in the next post
