I think JustWill and SweetCool are sitting together somewhere doing crystal meth.

Why can it not be the case that Foodcoats is town and is relaying the conversations of the ghosts in a more-or-less accurate fashion?
Asking this again.

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
One good reason is his multiple scumclaims. Another is it literally doesn't make sense for him to provide useless information in a manner that invites a NK.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 3:47 pmWhy can it not be the case that Foodcoats is town and is relaying the conversations of the ghosts in a more-or-less accurate fashion?

The Shade of Squiggs Say
Perchance the mushroom people doth hold the kill of the second of the moonling times
Such that when the one called by the name of generals ancient didst flip
Twas a flip that was a flop
And evil was presented as though it were good
Such spaketh the squiggling shade

and if youre town, why not at least entertain the thoughr a perceptive vecna noticed what scumlord flum was doing? and that potential scumlord yoyo is now jumping aboard to slam the trap?

##call gm: if the arcane trickster was activated on a night with no deaths, would the necromancer kill on a following day be able to trigger its effect? or would it skip that effect and apply to public flips only?

I think something weird is happening when quotes are made on cell phones.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 2:46 pmDousing, why did you edit the header of the quoted post to insert a telephone number?
That is very weird.
I think I saw a quote of mine break too
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Ahh, so we're at the "ask every possible situation and scenario to the GM to figure out if we're crazy or not" stage of the game.
I love this phase as a GM...

i bet brainbomb muat be having fun answering questions about interactions of roles that might not even be in the game

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
i mean, I think squigs shouldnt be ignored. the gm answer will tell us whether it was mechanically possible that flav was jabberwockied
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
yes, the necro kill would show the necromancer the wrong alignment on the flip.
when a necro kills someone they see the flip of role and align.
if the kill was arcane trickstered, the necro would get a false alignment flip result.
What can I say? I'm survivin'

flav was in fact town.

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
My current take is this (ghost comments later).
I still think that based on what we know about the battlemaster, that it was LIKELY used by scum and hence not used D1 because Flum was a wagon, and since Jamie and lfischl were valid wagons for most of D2, that Jamie and lfischl are likely town and that there was PROBABLY scum on Dip&War before the duel occurred. Obviously it was not Demon, and so I think it is most likely Yoyo. However, I may be sleeping on worcej; he may have pocketed me simply by believing my PR, which felt nice.
The other thing that is sticking out like a sore thumb is that sweet has been MAJOR sour grapes since Flum was shot. Sweet tried to suggest Fox was mafia right away and has grumpily attempted to undermine my role. The reaction to Fox’s shot in particular is so unlike town that it can be hard to think sweet would obvscum so badly, but I think the revelation of Flum’s alignment and the soft-clearing of Fox also soft-cleared me temporarily, and sweet was hyperfixated on killing me or Fox yesterday - so he was mad and off balance. The way he went onto the Demon wagon is just bizarre and he makes comments as if he thinks the wagon is stupid while claiming he has been scumreading RHK. He then leaves and says “good luck!” in a way that does not sound authentic at all. This is just so far and away from the reaction I have as a townsperson when I see my team score a win and the solve get narrower. Sweet did not AT ALL attempt to integrate the information about Flum’s alignment into his view of the game, he just threw a random vote at Vecna. I think sweet was caught really unprepared and was not able to think through his thoughts properly to cover up his bad mood at losing a teammate and his intended miskills being off the block for the day.
I think that Mad Monarch needs to explain her vote on me because she said bona was scummier than I am but voted me anyway and never explained. That looked like a time-zone-convenient park, although it could just be her playstyle.
I think Dousing also does not look good, but he is in the running with aaro in my head.
So in conclusion I think we need to kill yoyo and sweet and figure out who among MM, aaro and Dousing is the other scum, knowing there is an outside chance worcej is scum, and also that my analysis of the DW wagon could be entirely wrong and no scum were on it. And as I type it out I realize that may well be possible, that scum simply not scumread that day and were purring like cats on random wagons. We almost need to catch another scum first.
In that sense, sweet or MM might be very good daykills because neither of them is attempting to solve the game (sweet is in fact hindering solving in my perspective as he is in full throttle shade everyone mode). Of note, on D4, before the Flum kill, sweet townread worcej for his reaction to the “GUILTY” post and suggested a townlean on Jamie, while scumming the rest of the playerbase essentially.
Writing all this out I’ve mostly left myself with a sense of dread, but I do think we should daykill sweet.

Inb4 sweet says he’s the only town seeing things clearly and I’m an evil cleric orchestrating his death.

Actually I’m just going to share the ghost chatter now since it may generate conversation.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
TONIGHT… ON GRAVECHAT…
Deadly serious news - for the living
The undead are complaining that a Priest of Pelor is forcing them to touch his netherparts and should not be trusted. In particular the Bogey of Brian says the Priest may have been PR hunting. The Priest counters that the person he thinks is a PR is still alive.
The Ghost of Ghug says that Mad Monarch always scum reads him for “<expletive deleted> reasons,” but that her doubling down on her “<expletive deleted>” read even after he is dead looks like she is scum pretending to be her town self.
The Crypt Thing of Kakarroto speaks in tongues and is likely insane. We reproduce a quote from this disturbed undead for you here in its entirety, at the risk of the Gravechat hosts beings smitten by the gods, because we don’t understand a lick of it - and our journalistic integrity extends beyond the veil of death:
"Father Clement, oh dear friend, Pauli, Milka and Haakon wonder, if the Sultan has changed your mind, and turned you.
If not, take one of our Quinine, and ease your mind, because the messenger put the thoughts of us out pretty unchanged.
Also did you forget about Alleria and Persuasion?"
The Bogey of Brian believes dousing, food, sweet, with the possibility of 1 more in there from the tadpoling are mushroomfolk.
The Crypt Thing of Kakarroto believes that if sweet is mafia, then mushrooms are sweet, yoyo, jamie, Will/dousing; and if food is mafia, then food, jamie, Eden, Monarch.
The Phantom of Flav thinks sweet and yoyo are shroomlords and food is a Harper.
The Dirge of Dip&War would like to be included.
The Daemon of Demon thinks there is a correlation between colby, Bunny, and Eden. 50/50 on food. Monarch needs to go on policy.
The Persistent Fart of Flum says, “See you in hell, Fox!”
