Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
the four votes that moved onto flum at eod were not stable flum votes - there wasn't a core argument that he was scum that was acknowledged by those four in the way that there were narratives of flav or food being scumDousing wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 6:18 pmYeah you’re kinda right,Bonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 6:07 pmat the instant you're talking about, dousing is only on flum for like 20 seconds max, flav is entirely voting for self-preservation at this point, and like half the wagon is afk or lurking (you, demon). there was no momentum and it was driven by pro-flav votes rather than anti-flum ones.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 6:02 pm
Flum was up by 3 votes over second place with 5 minutes left. It’s disingenuous to say that it wasn’t a real wagon.
Although there was a fair chance he could’ve been voted up. It’s not like the attempted Colby wagon

Sweet gets a scum notch for voting Vecna twice, because this is a sketchy strategy I've seen used in the past, and I've even done it myself occasionally.
Basically, voting the same person more than once can create a false impression that a wagon is actually gaining momentum, when in fact it is not.

WoahJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 1:23 pmYou voted for the counter-wagon to Foodcoats at EoD last day.
Why did you do that, and why are you now back to thinking Foodcoats is scum?
Foodcoats was a viable wagon all of D3 and you didn't vote for him at any point, preferring to vote for Yoyo, Flum, and then Flavius.
Why didn't you vote for Foodcoats?
When you voted for Flavius you said "fine, have your kill" as if you were resigning reluctantly to vote Flavius and weren't really behind the wagon. Yet you strongly scumread him D1 and N1, and repeatedly voiced a scumread on him D2 as well.
So why "fine, have your kill"...? Why not "yeah, we're going to get Flav at last, I've been scumreading him since D1!" ?
Discuss?

at the instant you're talking about, dousing is only on flum for like 20 seconds max, flav is entirely voting for self-preservation at this point, and like half the wagon is afk or lurking (you, demon). there was no momentum and it was driven by pro-flav votes rather than anti-flum ones.
demon was afkesque?
dousing does vote food
flav disappears before peak flum, but was voting to save himself
food votes flav for self-pres
fox never moves despite being around, but indicates that he thinks flav is town and that food is scummy
so among the players active at eod not wagons themselves (dousing, fox), all end up voting food. demon votes flav but does offer a positive scumread of him.
Dousing went bona-flav-flum-flav-food. Does that feel pro Flav?
Fox didn't end the day voting for food.
Idk it feels weird to describe the entire wagon in such a way, when it only applies to like 2 people, and it doesn't look like it really applies

Why are you all voting food right now?
I would appreciate hearing in your own words.

also not all people on a wagon evenly affect wagon character

I’m not present for a lot of EoD’s so they always make me go a bit crazy. I did actually want to vote foodcoats that day though
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Does anyone find it weird that the demon wagon has gained steam this easily?

##VOTE Vecna
I'm almost certainly not doing anything productive this phase since a VIP is visiting today (IRL). So Fox is Town and BM WAS Mafia. So President Eden is Town.
