Since the necromancer was not claimed last night, do people feel it is likely scum? If it is scum holding it they will likely claim later if they are going to be DKd and I’m curious to know what logic people would have.

For me, it is mostly “Didn’t claim it before EON, therefore scum,” because town necro would want to share ghug’s alignment; except in the case of a few people who might not grasp the mechs if they are newer and hence might not claim (as I have delayed RB claiming in the past, for example). However, I think the existence of daychat makes it more complicated (as if it is scum necro, any scum can claim it), and it would have to be a near auto-rejection of town necro claiming.

Thoughts?

Since necromancer was not claimed, the most likely conclusion is ghug *was* VT.

Since ghug's message via food is that he was VT, then ghug isn't town and lying about that.

So at least town didn't lose a power there.

But ghug could be mafia and the necromancer is holding their tongue or already crumbed it in a way that would be only likely to see after they flip.

Here's a hot take: Maybe Vecna is tadpoled.

One of you started running with that idea. Almost as if a fresh tadpole inductee had the tadpole strongly in mind and ran with fingering someone.

Most people haven't bothered thinking too much about who the tadpole is. So it's notable that Bunny and Vecna are suddenly obsessed.

Anyone who was offered it, and rejected it, and didn't loudly shout about it to the thread isn't playing to their wincon and should be punished under whatever rule that is.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised the person who accepted it didn't fake claim that they rejected it. But oh well.

There are perfectly acceptable reasons why someone would reject it and not claim so in thread. They could have been trying to see how mafia would react during the day in order to gauge if they should accept it. If they are acting needlessly buddy buddy, it could be an indication that they are trying to get their attention, which as scum is not a great idea this town would reject the tadpole and continue scum hunt…
