Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Well picking a fight with Bona to get him to do something worked
I was getting a bit worried when you apologized for being toxic that I wasn't getting on your nerves enough.
I'm a bit confused about your case on me. Was I scummy because I didn't commit to my Balki vote, or scummy because scum!Squigs and scum!Balki planned a bus? Shouldn't I have been more committal against Balki if I were bussing for credit there?

Oh?FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:21 amHere it was, I think you should pay very close attention to the responses ghug and I have going and forth, Im waiting for his response nowJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 5:04 pmDo you know that Ghug is the third-highest poster in this game?
He has made 232 posts.
Yet I do not have a strong read on him either.
Perhaps this should concern us.
I am also concerned, on a related topic, that TheMadMonarch has posted only 11 times, and 10 of those posts were during the first half of D1.
@TheMadMonarch are you going to participate, please? You should sub out if you are unable to play.

I agree on the last point. Town is winning. Side with the winners.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:36 amI think scum know.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:21 amWhy are you asking people this can I get a clear answer
It’s to our advantage to know too.
And if there is someone with a tadpole, they should claim it and claim they destroy it. Scum know.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
No. What the fuck.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:39 amSweet, do you think the battle master should claim if they're town in order to confirm the validity of this theory?sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:34 amThat's what I said! Though the ghug wagon was going nowhere and I think Mafia could have defended it, so I don't think this specifically shows ghug is Town.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:31 amI would hope that a town would realize there are better cases for the battle master. If it is town, I don't suspect we can know the reasoning.
I think it makes a lot of sense to use it as scum though, including early on (when we're already down 2 extra miskills). But they wouldn't activate it if there was a chance that it would possibly kill scum, though. That would mean activating it at a time when there were virtually no votes on scum wagons. I think you'd also want to activate it close to the 30-minute deadline, as well. Balki briefly had votes about 2 hours out, but those evaporated quickly. He started getting votes again at 00:37. At that time, wagons were Dip (6), lfischl (4), ghug (3), Jamie (2), Dousing (2), Flav (2), Sweet (1), Ezio (1). (I may be missing some after the first 4 that I cribbed from the bot.)
I think this points to at least lfischl and ghug being town, and likely the rest of them.
They're probably town. PRs claiming early is bad. What the fuck.
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
that was exactly my point, but someone in this crowd was definately gonna suggest everyone do that display of nonsense publiclyFlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:38 pmThere is ZEROOOOO chance the tadpole has to destroy it in the thread lol
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Best thing you've said all game, but it's mech talk, so you're scum.foodcoats wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:41 amThe amount of mech talk is insane.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 11:23 pmI don't really want to help the mafia figure out who our PR is if it can be avoided.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 10:11 pm
Is there any reason you think the mafia would have pulled battle master D2?
You think a battlemaster town would have done it D2 because its early
I think a battlemaster town would have done it if they thought Balki or Dip were mafia
What were the reaosns the mafia would have done it early?
Taking out two town is a GREAT reason, but Balki was defending himself to the bitter end, he had a real chance to not be killed before Ezio flipped his vote. I dont think theres ANY chance that it was a mafia who pulled battle master D2
I think it's entirely possible the Mafia could have done it. I also think it was pretty risky for them if they had people on the block, and letting the town flip two highly suspected people helps us solve the game faster. I think it's possible town could have done it too, so I don't really want anyone trying to solve based on the assumption that mafia did it.
I want to say good on brain with this design though because the mech talk is literally useless in this design

lmaoFlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:39 pmWhat WOULD be interesting tho is that if we force everyone to say ##destroy everyday, it would require the person who gets the tadpole to either consume it before saying it in this chat, or to use tis as a destroy. Wonder if you can destroy/consume in here AND in the DM, or ONLY can be done in the DMFlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:38 pmThere is ZEROOOOO chance the tadpole has to destroy it in the thread lol

Whatfoodcoats wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:47 amChecks notes… drive… conviction to solve… wait…Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 11:32 pmI haven't felt any conviction or drive to solve. He's randomly kept calling me scum and a lurker when I was pretty active all day 2, but he seemed slow to the party on that.
Also his votes d2 are awful. Me->Damo (which always looked bad imo)->me->damo->me.
Finally, when the cards were on the table and it was balki vs dip, he voted dip.
This was his vote:
"
@@VOTE Diplomacy&Warfare
I guess?
"
There's no reasoning there. He hadn't previously scumread dip, and we now know that was the *wrong* wagon.
It was his only post in the final 5 hours of the day, with 15 minutes left. I suspect he was posting more in the mafia daychat than in this one.
Dude are we scum together??? I didn’t get the disco link!!!
Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
im really waiting for my old view of the aaro to come out, because so far this aaro is the definition of under the radar while still posting.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:43 pmDruid isn’t a role. Those are three different roles under the umbrella of “Druid” which has no mechanical purpose.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:39 pmDruid 0-3aarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 9:18 pm
I’m not sure where you’re seeing this? I’m seeing the following roles from the google doc:
“ Steel Will: You will be able to survive an attack once per game.”
“ Unarmored Defense: You will survive one attack during the day, or the night, once per game”
“ Circle of the Land: You may save a person from dying at night, non consecutively.”
“ College of Trickery: At night you choose a player, if any actions target this player those actions will fail.“
It’s possible I missed one or two. There’s a lot
Circle of the Moon: Once per game you may summon a deceased person back into the game thread for an hour. That person may talk but not vote. They will not count toward parity.
Circle of the Land: You may save a person from dying at night, non consecutively.
Circle of the Spores: Twice per game you may force the result at the end of a day to be nullified, and no one dies. The Circle of the Moon Druid must take this action during the next phase after someone dies. That person then can talk for the rest of the phase.

Bunny's is so not the townslip I'm buying.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 1:59 amWould scumbunny say this?BunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 11:04 pmOh shit! They vigged damo?!sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 10:40 pm
Flum made a similar comment, perhaps I meant to say Warrior but am too lazy to check which is correct.
We have a Vig who has Archer Power. Dip had the Duel Power. Battle Master power is also Paladin (or Warrior?)
So that makes three people under the same category.
This isn't actually important, just interesting.
I just checked the most recent flip on the bot. Only knew D&W died too when I saw youse guys talking about it
Suppose Bunny is scum. They have daychat. They would have reacted to the Big shot. Scumbunny would know that damo was vigged. Consequently, Bunny provides us with this theater because he wanted to be clever. He was clever enough to specifically mention the bot, even though scumbunny would have learned from daychat or the thread.
Suppose Bunny is Town. Then he checks the bot and notices Balki flipped scum. He has no reason to suppose there would be two other flips (though how do you miss damo?!), so it's very understandable that he would miss the lines under Balki.
Yeah, Bunny is either incredibly good actor or locktown.
Bunny, we need better reads from you from now on. Welcome to the party :D

I've just got a gut feeling about him.
