For the record, these past few Ghug posts make him pretty firmly town imo

In hindsight, an anti-Ghug wagon was a poor wagon on D2

Sweet is confusing me, they seem like their throwing. Admittedly, they said they'd do as much in the signup thread. Either way it's kinda tainting their arguments in an undue negative light.

For example, I really like what they said about Bunny (http://webdiplomacy.net/contrib/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=406327#p406327) but then they start voting for a dead Kak???

To use a terrible analogy: Sweet is kinda like the Kanye West of this game thread.

No. He and bona are less clear cut than the others, but I think they belong there.

The first one was the combination of the fact that you said a lot of words without actually asserting anything and the fact that the rabbit hole you chose to go down was about trying to divine scum motivations rather than read anyone.

The second post just sucks.

Well the first one is a *fair* argument but I don’t think your characterization is truly correct. Furthermore, since I’ve already made a long rambly post detailing my thoughts on the first post I won’t say much else.

Second post I straight up disagree with you.

This was terrible and you should feel bad, by the way.
Excuse me?
What was terrible was the wagon on me. It's been pushed since the beginning of D2 my Demon, who is obviously tunneling me.
What was terrible were the other wagons. The fish and ghug wagons were barely better than mine.
What was terrible was the fact that nobody else noticed Bunny or Balki being scum.
My decision to prevent a town kill by forcing a duel between myself and my scumread was entirely reasonable.
Bad execution. You should have claimed first, asked a few of us to form a wagon of your choice, and then used the ability to prove your claim
Not that we’d be in a situation like this again, but what’s interesting is that this only works because the vig shot earlier. I guess it’s a gamble because there could be 2 vigs. If Dip got shot, that shot would 100% be a mafia vig shot. It would give us a ton of info though, and Balki would have still probably flipped. I’m fairly confident that the first shot was mafia though.

I think I'll just disincline to vote this round, under the self awareness I'll look very scummy if one actually does flip scum.
This is an oof
I was wondering if someone would go back to this lol.

I'll have you know Dip was ahead in the two wagons when I changed my mind and voted Balki. So I'm basically obvtown now even with that original post.

I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that the vote count is lfiscl 4, ghug 3, D&W 2, Flav 2. Or that the people who joined me are Jamie, Flum, and Col7by
this is a great take all around.

Yeah what was the point of recusing yourself from the duel?

I'd like to understand, even though I assume your answer will be NAI.

This could have been coached I guess but immediately staking out the right position is a good look for Col7.
Don't underestimate him. He's plenty crafty on his own.

I'm going to assume some idiot towny just vigged damo.

I'm super glad he played it right! I thought he was a PR, but he was too obvious about it, he was thinking one level above me, a VT roleplaying as a PR roleplaying as a VT/scum.

Well done damo, it's too bad it was all in vain.
What?!

Will you walk me slowly through THIS thought process?
I hope you haven't gotten confused by the pronouns I used. "He" refers to damo in all instances.

Damo was lead wagon and very probably the DK. Why would Mafia bother vigging him?
"I thought he was a PR, but he was too obvious about it...roleplaying as a PR roleplaying as a VT/scum"

WHAT??!

Could you take that slowly. Why the fuck did you think he was a PR specifically?

Ehh maybe it's not as clearcut as we thought. I think there's a reasonable chance that mafia knew both were dead anyway because of battlemaster. So any people voting Balki over Dip don't get as much credit as they might otherwise get.
(Even though I was the one who really got the swing on Balki going after his nokill vote)

It's not impossible it was a town PR move knowing it likely happened before the duel.

I think the main moral is the Dip wagon to begin with was just terrible and those are the most suspicious people.
if scum declared it before eod, whatever time that's delineated as, then why does balki amp himself up to be a counterwagon?

I have large family gatherings tomorrow and Saturday, and then on Saturday afternoon I'm traveling. I will probably be able to keep up, but I may not be as active.

I've sent one thought to the GT this game and it was about damo.

Damo was purposely causing waves and "acting scummy", in a way not likely to come from Mafia at all. I concluded that he was a PR and taking a page out of my playbook. Particularly, I thought he was riding the edge of a DK to keep himself safe from an NK.

I was partially wrong, however.

He was a VT, pretending to be a PR. And the best thing a PR could do is pretend to be a VT, but not too obviously. And not caring about being the NK is VT stuff.

So he was a VT pretending to be a PR pretending to be a VT. He was one level wittier than I expected, so I congratulated him on his play. I am also gutted our vig actually wasted a shot on someone so obviously town. But at least he ended up being a VT.
