In my world Full Press/Classic Map is all that matters and in that world (if i'm not mistaken) I now hold record of highest Peak Rating ever at WebDip.

That's definitely the rating I care about more. Just to keep you motivated, MM's peak rating was 510 and I couldn't find Zultar but he had a pretty good streak, if I'm not mistaken. Also keep in mind that it excludes PPSC which was the only scoring system on WebDip for a long time so comparing "peak rating" misses out on a lot of the stats.

People tend to get turned off by the metagamey nature of it. I always enjoyed that aspect, but many struggle to adjust.

I have re-entered the Ghostratings after a long period of absence. I play only DSS/SoS, Classic Map, Full Press, Non-Live.

On the general list, my Ghostrating is 172.1022521. On the DSS/SoS, Classic Map, Full Press, Non-Live list, my Ghost rating is 89.09456678.

I believe they are supposed to be the same.

I don't think it really works that way, there's a relativeness to it. The nature of the elo-rating system using in Ghostratings takes the rating of the competition as part of it's calculation.

If (for example) you played a full press game against the 6 best gunboat players, who happen to be crappy press players, and won then you would get better credit for beating players taking all stats into consideration then you would in just the category. Theoretically they may have been the 1-6th ranked overall players but still be bottom of the rankings in the DSS/SoS, Classic Map, Full Press, Non-Live category.

There's more informed people then me who can explain it better.

FYI, I have joined four anonymous games on this site in the last two months. So that guy everyone thinks is Balki may actually be Balki.

But it's okay -- Balki is an absolute joy to play with and he's the guy you want on your side. So please, be nice to "that guy." He's here to help.
