M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread

No Im just saying that because the mafia are able to have higher coordination this time around from pretty much out of the gate; they probably chose to give people multiple roles to play in this game. Someone will be their "lurker"(I think there's only one), someone will be their skater (minimum talking), someone will be their solver(who will do a lot of analysis), someone will be the person who just talks a lot etc

And the people who will play those roles are the people who are most comfortable playing them. You described one type of mafia and said oh well Im looking at people who are playing that kind of role and I think that is WRONG.

Have you ever seen a mafia team assign roles in this way? Have you played much forum mafia?

I played 7 games on this website maybe more Im not sure I used the statistic excel sheet, I might have played more I dont know. No I dont think Ive ever played as mafia, maybe once. No I dont think this is something mafia usually do, they dont have the opportunity too since they cant talk until N1, BUT this time is different they have a live 24/7 chat so they had the opportunity to do this highly controlled gameplay.

Here's my theory: Damo is scum. Foodcoats slipped up an crossposted his "WOOO" to the wrong thread and then tried to play it off. Foodcoats is now bussing Damo to further cover his tracks.

He's a wagon because he's voting for someone that I don't think he should be scumreading. 2/3 people on his wagon are me and the person he voted.
Flavius voted him for "pressure" early d2. Never verified whatever crap he wanted to investigate in Kak's history.
(I do think it's more likely Flav is scum too after looking into this. His play reeks to my nose).

IIRC Ghug usually wanted to consolidate d1, or if not move himself he would get others to sheep him onto his read. I didn't feel that happened as much this game. To see him do a similar thing this phase with him dumping his vote onto Dousing? Very sus.
I think today should be Ghug vs Flav.

Damo flipping is one of the few times we get to see mafia actually surprised at something happening, so those reactions are harder to fake than other reactions we might get

Unrelated. I don't believe I had seen the Damo flip at that point. I was mulling over Foxcastle's frustration and kind of feeling uncomfortable being called a bully.

I want ghug to engage with the game. I suspect that he may be scum, but I don't want him to flip today in case he is not. Also, this is how I feel, and I am going to put my thoughts and feelings in the thread.

My internal explanation of Jamiet's reaction:

I get the impression Jamiet has been kind of absent this game, in a NAI type of way way (but a bit unusual), as evidenced by him not reacting to several things that would normally "trigger" him.

His bit about damo was showing authentic displeasure with damo's obnoxious play D1. And he was determined to continue with his damo bit until he felt damo showed true contrition. Otherwise, I don't think he particularly scumread damo, at least not strongly.

Overall, Jamiet is a bit null. I'm not saying he is town, but I don't think his reaction to the damo flip was unusual or scum indicative.

I truly have no idea what's going on being almost 40 pages behind. I don't have the time to get caught up on the whole game this evening, but his D1 post count is beyond normal to me for his slot and I think he may be excited scum.

Again - I am not following the damo wagon here. Using the bot, Jamie's at least saying he's scum and crusaded HB. Col7by doesn't explain his reasoning well enough for me to see and lfischl is voting damo because of HB.

Was damo really the main manipulator for the HB wagon? He voted him first but then wasn't a deciding vote to ensure he died... I don't see the context to blame him for it.
