You haven't missed much. It turns out it's hard to catch scum day 1 with only 24 hours, 26 players, and a large mafia team coordinating with day chat.
This all feels very familiar. Did anyone do anything notable? Does anyone have a firm conviction?

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
I was one of the leaders of the Hamilton wagon and was wrong rip. It felt like Brian vs. Damo for most of the day and they were always the two main wagons.
Damo declared Hamilton obvious scum and some people were annoyed by that and it kind of started it off between the two. There were a lot of people pushing 3rd wagons. Ifischl for lurking got pretty high, I was a top wagon for a bit for ??? reasons. Flavius was really flailing at the end under pressure and people didn't like that so he went up but I personally think it was town flailing. Dip was at the end but it never felt like he was in real danger.
It felt at the moment that the core of the Damo/Brian wagons were mostly locked in and firm in convictions it was other people players hopping on the third wagons until the end where it seemed really like a coin flip who would die out of Brian and Damo

What was your main thinking supporting your Hamilton read?
Anyone try to start an EOD flashwagon?

Bunny had a progression on Dip that seemed fake. Bunny disputes this.
Food literally claimed scum. He also recanted.
Check my N1 ISO for Dip.
Vecna and I agree on basically everything.

He said if he flipped town, we'd have to spend time seeing which mafia were jumping on him to protect Damo (heavily implying he thought Damo was scum) but he didn't actually scum read Damo. So I thought he was scummy lol. He also never answered my questions about it! AlasBalki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 4:50 amHelpful. I feel like the main vibe from players at EOD in hindsight was lack of concern with who died out of Damo/Brian. The Flavius and Dip wagons were the flash wagon attempts though.

How are you not mentioning me? I seemed pretty motivated to kill Flum or Dip. I should think that's notable, regardless of what one concludes from that.Fluminator wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 5:03 amHe said if he flipped town, we'd have to spend time seeing which mafia were jumping on him to protect Damo (heavily implying he thought Damo was scum) but he didn't actually scum read Damo. Yes you were weirdly obsessed with me that day lol and now dropped me at night. I still have no idea what your motive for that would be as scum but it did feel disingenuous lol. You have never see me play before so you have no idea if I'm a threat if you're scum.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 5:06 amHow are you not mentioning me? Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
EOD was a mess, if someone can do the analysis on it then I say let them have it. But this duo idea I dont like not one bit. Everyone should take a stab at solving the game and then compare notes AFTER. That would tell us far more than two random people buddying upDousing wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 2:14 amHm, I see your point and I actually am inclined to agree.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 1:55 amVecna and ghug are in my eyes the two best solvers we have. So if either or both of them are town, and given ghug expressing approval of Vecna's read of the gamestate, then I think them teaming up would be a dream team type of situation.
I think normally they are at odds? So normally a team up is not plausible.
I just don’t like how enthusiastic you are about a Ghug/Vecna duo? I suppose this support is so explicit it loops back around from scummy —> towny. ie: a mafia Sweet would probably not be acting this way because it looks so blatantly sheep-prone
I guess that brings up a WIFOM situation where one could argue that you *PLANNED* to looks so overtly scummy in a bid to look towny but I wouldn’t buy it because it (as in: looking overtly scummy to curry favor with the town for the entire game) seems like a short-term solution to a long-term problem
