Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Ok but WHY did you think HamiltonBrian was a mafia before he made that statement? I understand why THIS statement is mafia like, we already established we shouldnt treat the day chat any differently, its a boon for the mafia, but our strategies arent, and cant be different than what they are normally, the mafia will just have better coordinationdamo666 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 1:46 pmCan we just endvote Ham please. He is obvscum.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 1:39 pmIs Hamilton having trouble keeping up with two places to post and not posting messages for one audience to the other?Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 1:14 pmThat full-time mafia chat is going to be a PITA.
I wonder if a way around it is to consolidate in like 3, 4, 5 key blocs...who do you resonate as town with, then vote around that, making sure to avoid the tie.
But then the "vote once"" but you can also Unvote and still be in compliance is CAF.
Oh no.
Perhaps we should relieve him of his burden.

TRUE! He said he was doing it originally in case he couldnt get on again, but instead he got on and FIXED his vote no-kill vote! GREAT!foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 1:48 pmAdditional scum points for kotp who appears uninterested in solving.kingofthepirates wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:26 pmOh damn, nice catch, I didn't see that. alright then, I shall ##vote kingofthepirates (self voting is always fun :D). I know I'm safe (safe as in town), and I'll still be keeping up, seeing if anything new comes out, and voting accordingly, far to early to definitively say anything.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:12 pmif that is your concern, as far as I understood, voting "no-kill" in this game does NOT prevent you from being modkilled. The phrasing is:
You must vote at some point during the day for a LIVING player, you may end a day unvoted as long as you voted for a LIVING player at some point, you may vote no kill provided you voted for a LIVING player at some point. You may self vote, this will count as voting a player.
please check page 1 or the GM for this.

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Does anyone who's played with Kak before know if he does this as town? (Preparing multiple posts before sending them all together)
I know it would be a scum tell for me if I did that. As town I fire from the hip.

This is banter more than anything NOT evidence of powerwolfing you should use stuff like that when theres a lot mor eevidence not the 6 posts someone said he made...cmon manDiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:33 pmTo be clear, I am claiming ghug is powerwolfing by the following definition:
powerwolf. v,
1. To make aggressive statements and directly or indirectly pressure others to agree with those statements as mafia
This is definitely not something town should be doing, as it discourages open communication and problem-solving.

This is so random, and seems like you are trying to take people off of Bunny, if you think he isnt mafia then just say itVecna wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 11:09 amThis game is actually the first game in quite a while where I dont feel Ghug is obv-town (not counting last for obv reasons).JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:32 amYknow only now did I realize I cannot read ghug. Also hello Bona.
Its still early ofcourse, but he's done some of the small things that give me a little reason to be worried.

What is the problem? If you were busy then just say you were busy, if you make a vote in this game people are going to EXPECT you to say WHY! So say WHY!damo666 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 7:03 pmFine. Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
I know how you feel, there have been people who slapped on my early vote and I'm starting to rethink if my vote is a mistake. Especially since lfischl might be just modkilled if he doesn't vote in the next time.
I do think however with him getting this much heat it feels nice to target a known lurker, so for now lets stay and see what happens.
I am not too keen on the alternatives, though. Damo could very well be just town here, he is quite unusual, different than what he normally does, yes, but he doesn't pull me especially in either direction. Brian I don't want to be in consideration, he is usually a target of mis votes, and I myself did mistakenly vote him out as town D1 in jamies judges game. And Brian feels a bit more town here to me than usual.
I think though Flum might deserve some heat today. I don't get why he is so high in D&W's opinion, with what he mafreads myself, so maybe some scrutiny there is a good idea too.

There's a scumslip if I've ever read one!!!
Brian flips town, Kak can garner a bit of towniness for it.
Really, I appreciate the defense but I can't excuse my ADD/super-busy playstyle. That's for me to fix.

But I do agree about Flum; feels like they've been picking at the low-hanging fruit others are lobbing out there.
