Wishing you both the best.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 10:51 pmMy girlfriend unexpectedly went to the hospital this morning. She is currently being transferred to Philadelphia to have a minor procedure done. All is well and we don't expect any major impacts on her or the pregnancy, but I will be somewhat inactive until around Wednesday if I had to guess.
If things get too heavy I'll request a sub, but for now I should be OK once we get back home.

Janitor kills someone and nobody besides the janitor knows their alignment or role. In this case, the Necromancer is a Janitor.

Isn't it the case that the janitor usually does not learn the target's role?DiplomacyandWarfare wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:21 pmJanitor kills someone and nobody besides the janitor knows their alignment or role. In this case, the Necromancer is a Janitor.

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
I understand the reasoning for voting this way. I don't understand publishing this list 5 mins into the game. At least not from a town perspective. I feel like you're a smart person, but publishing a list like this seems potentially controlling if you are mafia, while I don't see any upside from a town perspective.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:10 pmoh, I thought you were others asking with the phrasing, so I wanted to let them answer.
If you ask me directly, I have a few times put out thoughts of people putting into 'buckets', like 'would vote for', 'could vote for' and 'not vote for', I think two or three games before this I did it too? Like I'm usually very soft D1 on new players, have some players who I would give a slight pass (either because I think they could be valuable, would give more information later as either town or mafia, or would make the game more enjoyable), and am more inclined to try remove player that might not be too active without giving a benefit in the later game.
For example, I picked myself since I don't want to vote for myself here (I mean ok, that much should be logical). Sweet has been taken out every time as mafia on D1 and he has never experienced the game from this side further, so this is just a given for me at this point to strongly disregard voting for sweet on d1; especially since he just had a great performance as town last game, I don't want him to be gone early (and if he is mafia, he might just give out accidentally another of his teammates, but pssst).
We have quite a lot PR's this game, and worcej has been easily claimed under pressure before, so I want to mitigate that risk. Plus, his mafia tell is being great at hitting PR's, so we might be able to clear him soon. Col7by is a new player and thus should be encouraged to play, and come back by having a bit of a game. Bona is a personal choice, since he can be a great asset, but is often a target of mafia trying to missvote him. Plus, when he is mafia, it should be pretty visible at day 3 or 4, normally, if you know where to look at. Also, he usually reads me correctly, so I have no fear this game that town-bona would vote me out![]()
As for ghug, I think he is a great asset for town too. He has also one or two signs that might surface when he is mafia, and I think I know him at this point that I should not be fooled by him. Of course, I could be wrong there and he can be able to pull wool over my face, but I also enjoy playing with him and want to see more from him.
And for everyone, please don't take it personally if you aren't on the list, I enjoy playing with everyone, or most everyone (I think there exist people where I genuinely wish to not play with them, but I think I haven't met any in the time I played, as far as I remember), like jamie, demon, foods, bunny, will, chaqa, to name only a few, but I think, that currently I would trust myself the most to get a read of ghug out of all, well bona maybe more, but he is already on my list.
I hope that makes it more clear for you, Squigs?
Help me understand

Vanilla town is a PR for those of us without skill issues.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:04 pmOnly if they have a PR; so now we have found a roundabout way to decide if someone is a PR town or not, what a great idea! Anyone who doesnt say they would accept a tadpole is a big fat joke, unless the Mafia team LITERALLY gets SLAUGHTERED people are picking mafia. And EVEN if the team DID get slaughtered how fun would it be to do such a big comeback. I think this is a useless question
