Mafia Day Chat is always on: The mafia can talk at all times, any time, by simply going into discord. The mafia chat does not close during days, or at nights, and is always on.

Phases are 24/24 and players may talk during the night in the game thread.

Participation requirements are unique, please read carefully, you don't have to post, but you do need to vote! If a player habitually fails to post as a strategy they will not be sanctioned.

Mafia may attempt to recruit a town player to join them once per game; this recruitment can be refused. A player may choose to join the mafia, or they can reject this offer.

The PR list is extensive, 5 of the roles from that list will be in play for Town, 3 roles from the list will be a Mafia role. There are 30 possible roles that the actual roles could have come from. To avoid any gaming of the setup, the roles were randomly rolled and were not adjusted for balance. Anything is possible.

Posting Rules: No Min or Max
Voting Rules: You must vote at some point during the day for a LIVING player, you may end a day unvoted as long as you voted for a LIVING player at some point, you may vote no kill provided you voted for a LIVING player at some point. You may self vote, this will count as voting a player.
Day Chat is always enabled for Mafia.
No Third Party, No Extra Factions.

Factional Abilities: (Mafia)

Daychat : Mafia will always have daychat enabled and may communicate any time during the game.

Mind Blast: Mafia may use a mind blast to roleblock a player at night, all actions that player attempts to take will be prevented. They will be told their action failed, not that they were roleblocked.

Tadpole: Mafia may forgo killing once per game and during the night offer to recruit a player from among the town to join the mafia. That player may accept the offer or refuse. If the player accepts the offer of recruitment their wincon will change to be that they must win with mafia. A town PR may elect to change sides, consume the tadpole and join the mafia instead. This ability may only be used up to and during night 4.

Nightkill: The Mafia may kill another player with this action on any night, they may not use a tadpole and also kill on the same night.

Mafia Goon: You are a member of the Illithids, you win when the Harpers are eliminated. Each day you must vote for a living player in this game. At any time you may meet with your mafia teammates in the Illithid Chat (Link). This chat will always be open.

Steve: Okay now we can play the game the normal way. With clothes on, and I can actually enjoy the story.

Alright… now how do I escape this place. Man this room is disgusting. This looks like i'm inside a butthole. Whatever. This is still better than having to be Karlach. Now I can be Grimdoor the Almighty, a ferocious dragon born sorcerer. I will unleash supreme magic justice on these flayers.

Wolf Blitzer: Breaking news here in the situation room. I'm Wolf Blitzer. Millions of users of the popular online dating app Baldurs Gate 3 are now victims of an elite hack. For those of you who have never heard of this app, we have our expert, a guy named Steve who uses this program. Steve, please let us know what this app is for.

Steve: Well… uh… okay. So Baldurs Gate 3 is an app for… men who want to cheat on their spouse, with digital fake nude women. You can have weird sexual encounters, 3 naked women, 1 naked stumpy dwarf, midgets, and all sorts of interracial stuff. Millions of users will go on this app, they can undress the women, make them fight in battles, cut their eyes out, oggle their bodies, all without fear of being caught by their spouse. This is some real disturbing filth.


Wolf Blitzer: I'm sorry, let me understand, so you're saying that this app is meant for married men who want to cheat on their wives with fake AI?

Steve: Yes, well sort of. The girls on there are mostly bots, but you can also play multiplayer, and people get real weird.

Wolf Blitzer: So you were a member of this app for a time?

Steve: I still play, I still use the app. I just avoid the weird sex stuff. It never made sense why all that was in the game…Grimdoor the Almighty is my username...Hi.

The one opposite of him rolls a bunch of dice, then begins to calculate.

Jack: "Ok, that looks not too bad ... lets see" *fills out a bunch of rows*

Kyle: "Now apply your halfling bonus ..."

Jack: "Hobbit, I'm playing a hobbit. H-O-B-I-T."

Kyle, sighing: "There are no hobbits in this game. Those are called halflings."

Jack: "Well, mine IS a hobbit. Don't ruin my RP."

Kyle, sighing again: "Fine, fine. As long as your GM allowes it."

Jack, back at the abilities: "Alright ... so I'm putting all into charisma ..."

Kyle: "Which puts it at 18"

Jack: "No, since I'm a hobbit, I get a +2 modifier to it, so I'm at 20."

Kyle, a bit annoyed: "I guess your GM allowed to change that from dexterity ..."

Jack: "Plus, dexterity of 20"

Kyle: "Wait, you only get one modifier to your abilities!"

Jack, now a bit annoyed too: "No, hobbits gain two, they are small and stealthy, and cute as eff."

Kyle, rolling his eyes: "Well, as long as your GM allows it."

Jack: "Then wisdom of 14, intelligence of 12. Endurance of 16, since they eat a lot of healthy stuff."

Kyle, sarcastic: "I guess it had a +2 modifier too ..."

Jack: "Yes, of course. You know hobbits, right? And then, strenght of 6."

Kyle: "Six?!? What? Why? You can't carry anything with that."

Jack: "Well hobbits are weak, haven't you seen the movies? Those arms are twigs, basically."

Kyle: "Yeah, and they eat a lot of food, too! You are travelling a lot in these games, how are you planning to not starve after three days?"

Jack, smirking: "That's why my character has so high endurance, to be tenacious. He eats all his food before he goes out and stores it in his belly!" *He pats his own belly with this words.*

Kyle, looking at him bewildered: "..."

Jack, enthusiastically: "Alright lets go on."

Kyle: "How are you planning to wield a weapon? The most you can use is a small dagger at this point! And you haven't even taken Finesse!"

Jack: "Well, well, well, there is where my masterplan comes into play ... I'm not using any. At least not in the usual sense. I'm playing a bard!"

Kyle, taken aback: "... I guess that could work. Still, you will not do much else than singing."

Jack: "All taken account for." *He clears his throat, pulls a sheet out of a folder.* "Son of a farmer in a remote village, he met a travelling minstrel that came to his town, and listened to her songs and stories for days and weeks. Not having much money, but creativity, he ran into his family's barn, took an old sickle, and put some horsehair on it, creating an improvised lute. Day after day, week after week, month after month, he trained his skills, played for his friends and family, and at town festivals, and earned enough to buy himself all the equipment he needed. After he was ready, he went out to adventure, and to search for his dream, finding the most powerful artefact of all ..." *he pauses dramatically* "... the PICK OF DESTINYYYY!"

Kyle looks at him, perplexed: "... there are no such picks in game."

Jack: "There are war picks, why shouldn't there be normal picks? And of course there has to be some that are magically enhanced."

Kyle, staring at Jack: "... well, make sure to inform your GM about it BEFORE the game starts, so he will know about that."

Jack, ignoring Kyle: "Alright, so I thought I'll name him after myself, but in another language ... so, his name shall be Jakob Schwarz."

Kyle: "... oh, of course."

Jack, suddenly holding up a hand: "Wait, that's right, you have helped me creating it, so I shall include you in the name."

Kyle: "Please don't."

Jack, again ignoring Kyle: "Alright, take your name's first letter and exchange it here" *he erases and writes some stuff* "So, finished, here is he, Kakob Schwarz, singer and bard, searcher of the pick of destiny, protector of stories, menace of biscuits, adventurer extraordinaire. Welcome to the world!"

Normally my style is to shitpost and spam at the beginning, but with 26 players and 24 hour phases we all have to be on better behaviour now. These first few days are going to be hell.

Hello to all the newer players I haven’t met yet but I’m not going to be able to get to know you in time lol.

Since 24 hours makes this even more of a gong show the first vote will likely be random so I’ll throw out a couple names for consideration to murder to get things started.
1. FlaviusAetius – Aetius has some epically cool moments, but for the most part he was overrated. Although it’s true his assassination triggered the beginning of the end of Rome, he shoulders a lot of the blame removing all other competent people in the first place so Rome had to rely on him. I was always more of a Stilicho fan.
2. Col7by – I don’t know how to say his name so it will be more tiring to read.
3. Dowsing – I really don’t think Dowsing rods are a good way to find mafia so he may be a liability for town either way.

Alternatively we kill whoever is at risk for accepting recruitment. Are there any players here that are known to prefer playing scum over town?
