No, I did not limit my answer to heads of stateFlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 8:52 amClarifying question;
The leader of the UK today would not be Rishi Sunak but King Charles III (is that correct as the way you answered the "leader" questions)?

Re: XX Questions – Game CCXCIII
Not sure if this is a wasted question or not, as I'm not 100% confident on where native speakers would most likely be born between 1570-1727, but...
Born in Spain in the 17th century?

Re: XX Questions – Game CCXCIII
I'm afraid we've fallen into some weeds as a result of this question. We know he is not a monarch, but is he a head of state at all, or just a head of government? Would the chief minister of such a centralized kingdom as Spain qualify as the "leader" of the country? While the questioner might have been thinking of sovereign states, could the QM have considered a subdivision (like Aragon or Mallorca) to be a "polity"? I doubt it. But we don't really know what the QM was thinking because the question words "leader" and "polity" are so vague. I wish we had asked "head of state" or "head of government" of a "sovereign state". Hard to clarify this now with just one question left.Served as leader of a country/polity
