I am probably going to be offline until after EOD. Hopefully the game will be over soon.

Yeah, reviewing the evidence you have provided, I agree.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 5:09 pmI am probably going to be offline until after EOD. Hopefully the game will be over soon.
I do now remember being pleasantly surprised when you flipped your read on me, when in my experience you tend to stick to your reads and only change when confronted with strong evidence.
In fact, EoD you nail the main alternative to Ham being final Mafia.

Chaqa and I use the bot, so I see no reason why I am not voting Ham.
Since when is it not legal to "accidentally" make an invalid vote? Maybe it was a tactic?

I'm going to respond to questions you guys posted last page in a bit. ##vote ham, I think that's the most solid case I see right now. kind of in a rush rn, give me like half an hour to finish up and write responses.

By the way, it was a trick. I wanted to see if anyone would hop on voting Pirate (particularly Ham).sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 5:51 pmChaqa and I use the bot, so I see no reason why I am not voting Ham.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I think either mafia was overconfident and decided to pass on it (which would be out of place, but not impossible i guess??), or the person who was RB'd didn't claim.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 7:58 amWhy do you think the mafia did not use the RB N2? Did you consider the possibility that the player RBed did not claim it?
I think it's possible it was not claimed, but then I wonder as to why, since it doesn't seem to be a good play. I think it would be the obvious thing to do, regardless of PR status. I can imagine only two very strange situations for not claiming: forgetting/not noticing, or a trap.
I could see a world where the RB'd person forgot to claim, or it slipped their mind, or they didn't see the PM. If this misplay occurred to them later, the sheer amount of scrutiny on this fact might draw unwanted attention, such as the fact town might see it as mafia trying to get town cred by wildly trying to claim RB.
I could also see this a devious play by an RB'd town, trying to draw out a mafia player trying to get town cred by claiming RB (perhaps mafia would hope that town didn't notice or forgot or something), only to close the trap and reveal the actual RB target as a townie, outing scum. This second situation is quite a stretch, but I've been running through it in my head and seems like a crazy play someone could make.
This post was made D2 (granted at EOD, but still), so I don't think it is crazy for this to my first mention of vecna. Honestly that list was my firmest scum read, and a couple of my null-scum reads. rdr was more null. I did town read him, but then the arguments of bussing came up, together with suspicions from more experienced players (ghug, for example) and I waffled a bit, ending in null-ish. I looked at what others had posted too, and decided that other reads were enough to throw onto the top 5 list.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 7:52 amI think this is the first post where you mentioned Vecna, and you had previously been town reading rdrivera. Why did you include them in your top 5 mafia prediction at the time?

I identified a scumread of King based on D1 vote, along with you, but don’t recall which day I mentioned it. No reason to dig in to your “trick” when there wouldn’t have been steam behind it.

Good game ya'll!
I am very busy right now, so if a CC battle erupts, don't hammer (unless you hammer Pirate).
I scanned guilty on Pirate.

I won't comply.
Are you explicitly claiming Cop? Yes or no?
If you are, talk us through:
(a) All your scan decisions,
(b) Your reactions,
(c) Your scumread on Pirate, who you have not scanned.
Potato, potato; potato.

It is your fault. You got us here.
You are the chief of the stupid people.
Why are we here, and what will you do to make amends?

I am busy. I will answer when I can. I only asked you to not hammer the day away before I can talk.
Yes.

Nobody has CC me yet, so it's pointless.
