Re: Cultafia Game Thread
If mason has already been cursed, there is 0 drawback to revealing. If mason hasn't been cursed and reveals, he wouldn't die until EoD4 from a curse, which the game will likely be decided by then anyway (either we lynch cult leaders back to back or lose). I don't see why mason wouldn't reveal. Any special scenarios where they wouldn't reveal?
Re: Cultafia Game Thread
If it's 5-4 and mason cursed town have lost.
If it's 5-4 and someone else cursed Mason must bless a recruiter or town have lost.
If it's 5-4 and no-one cursed then a unanimous correct lynch and it's 5-3, 5-2 or 5-1.
Getting a unanimous lynch is gonna be difficult so if it's 5-4 at the moment it's looking bleak. So I think we should proceed in the hope it's 6-3 (of course 7-2 better but highly unlikely.

I believe this and agree Fox a prime target for recruitment. However he should not be a lynch. We must get a leader.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:59 pmPlease lynch me tomorrow.
I'm posting this last minute because I very strongly fear I will be targeted for recruitment tonight. The cultists know I'm town and I think it's pretty clear I'm not a mason. (Is it? I mean, I think it is.) Since I have no history to analyze, you won't be able to compare this slot to any activity before now, and we must assume the cultists know that. (I'm sorry I was not far enough along to post actual reads that you could look to for changes that might indicate I'd been recruited.) Either way, I fear I'd be an uncertain element, and that does not help town. My standing request as town is to be lynched.
It looks like there are many outcomes in the list Damo posted (thank you for that!) that give town some room to lynch me even if I'm wrong about the cult's decision and am still town tomorrow. If I am not recruited, I still think the uncertainty about me not having a record to analyze makes it important to lynch me to eliminate uncertain elements. If I am recruited, and it becomes against my win condition to advocate for self lynch (which is a sticky situation, I know, and I could even advocate for self lynch as a cultist and still support my win condition, though it gets tricky!), and I don't have access to guidance from fellow cultists in the QT, well, maybe you'll notice and understand what has happened.

I think I agree with this so go ahead reveal yourself.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 10:31 pmIf mason has already been cursed, there is 0 drawback to revealing. Also agree with the above. Not much else really to say from my perspective. Would take a miracle to miss here and win this.
Re: Cultafia Game Thread
Sorry to run off right after posting EON. I had dinner plans to get to and am just now back.
I was not converted (which is exactly what I would tell you if I had been, of course) and am not the Mason. You still need to lynch me, because there simply isn't enough information about this slot for you to ever trust it. I should be read up enough by tomorrow to be able start saying useful things (and maybe guess at who Damo thinks the Mason obviously is...).

I do not think the mason should claim yet. If it 5-4 already, the mason's ability to kill cult at night may be our only chance. If it is 5-4 with a town cursed, the cult could lynch the mason and end the game.

Re: Cultafia Game Thread
This is incorrect, town can be in the minority and win since the mason can kill at night. The mason only needs to kill the two cult leaders. damo may have been converted. Please stop the "not mason" claims.damo666 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 10:39 pmIf it's 5-4 and mason cursed town have lost.

The win condition for the cult is to have majority. If town is in minority, cult wins.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 1:33 amThis is incorrect, town can be in the minority and win since the mason can kill at night. @Squiggs was this a real townread?Squigs44 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 11:51 pmWe need to keep him around simply for the entertainment. But actually DrCJG is giving me the most townie vibes. Scum rarely come out of the gate so quickly and comfortably. Ezio was this way in the tiny hunt game and was town.DrCJG wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 11:42 pmI prefer to think of the cult as a coven of witches given we are here in Salem.
I look forward to rereading the crucible as we burn the coven to the ground.
Perhaps I can derive everyone’s alignment by determining which character they most relate to... so far, Jamie’s cries remind me most of Abigail Williams... a townie that through lies and manipulation sends nineteen innocent people to their deaths
Re: Cultafia Game Thread
Why are you pandering in 'by comparison' logic on dr cgjc being like ezio?
Thats a pretty odd thing to say
