And why is that important? Town might not have fake scum candidates (presumably), but Town is likely to be incorrect. What does it accomplish?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:27 pmAs I said, to force the mafia to go on record with fake scum candidates, since there is no night posting.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:18 pmA survey!!!bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:15 pmSince Vecna and ghug have already gone on record with their scum predictions, I am going to request that everyone provides their best guess at the remaining mafia. Remember, the point of this is to force the mafia to go on record with fake scum candidates, so please participate if you are town:
Vecna: Hamilton sweetandcool worcej
ghug: bozo Hamilton rdrivera
bozo: Bonatogether rdrivera worcej
Why now bozo?

Yes, but not with the highest degree of confidence.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 5:51 pmDo you think Vecna is town?ghug wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 5:31 pmBozo townreads me. Scum confirmed.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 5:22 pm
This seems fairly reasonable as well, even though ghug is wrong about me.
There is a risk that ghug and Vecna are mafia setting up the most obvious mis-kills, but I am hopeful that they are both town.

I'll probably switch back to Vecna but I want this wagon to remain competitive:

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Another theory I had was that it could be Bonatogether, worcej, and BunnyGo, who all had posts ready to go at the beginning of D2, while most of us who are town waited to see if we survived N1 before resuming the game. If it was something they decided in mafia chat, they might have overlooked that it showed a lack of concern about being the N1 NK.

That's a clever theory. I'm not sure if it will hold up, but it is definitely a unique take.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:34 pmAnother theory I had was that it could be Bonatogether, worcej, and BunnyGo, who all had posts ready to go at the beginning of D2, while most of us who are town waited to see if we survived N1 before resuming the game. I really don't like how the LordOfWords wagon has halfway evaporated despite him evading questions and then leaving again.

The mafia have to either bus their teammates or fabricate reasons for their scum reads, providing more information to town later. Also, in the past, the consensus scum reads have sometimes been very good.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:31 pmAnd why is that important? I feel a bit stronger about rdrivera than LoW right now. If others leave the rdrivera wagon, I promise I will switch back to LoW.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:38 pmI really don't like how the LordOfWords wagon has halfway evaporated despite him evading questions and then leaving again.

Well, if it makes you feel better Sparta and I have indicated some interest in that wagon, based on Bozo's survey.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:38 pmI really don't like how the LordOfWords wagon has halfway evaporated despite him evading questions and then leaving again.

Hamilton Brian, why are you voting for Vecna?

On page 80 you listed Rdr as NULL.Spartaculous wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:40 pmI feel a bit stronger about rdrivera than LoW right now. On page 81 you voted for Rdr apparently because Ghug said "I think rd is scum."
Now you are starting to strongly scumread the person who was a nullread for you until his wagon started to gain traction.
Can you explain your thought progression here?

On Page 80 you were quoting Will's reads, but without using the quote function. My mistake.

I'm staying on the wagon I'm currently on since I believe I have solid reasons for Sweet. (I think we collectively need to pull apart everything Will has said a some point, but I'm putting that aside for now.)
I would like to know why veteran players here allegedly home in on Vecna repeatedly since I don't have context for that tendency in other games.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I’m a little surprised that so many people are prioritizing killing people who cast pretty decisive votes on Godfather. I get that rdrivera and sweet are not clear, but Day 2 kill? I feel like y’all are being too cute. Losing Godfather on Day 1 was a very bad outcome for Scum.
