Mason needs to use their bless instead to block one of the actions or better yet to kill a cultist.
It would be 5-4 but if remaining Mason manages a blesskill it would be 5-3 or 5-2. If the Mason blesses a cultist they die. And if it's a leader, any recruits also die. brainbomb could be a cult leader, but I think it is more likely he was recruited if he is scum. damo is possible, but I doubt it. I think it is DrCJG/DemonRHK.

Yes it's possible. But unlikely enough that I would urge Mason to target someone else.
