currently catching up, so I'm not sure if this question is still relevant or if you still want the answer. If you do, it is as follows: I don't remember the exact reasons, I'll have to check back through the logs, but I do distinctly remember that the other tiebreak (damo iirc) didn't seem to have any really concrete reasons for suspicion (I remember at least 1 vote was from the very start of the day, with no reasons given at all). I'll elaborate more once I have caught up.

I'm too sick and tired to bother dealing with this. I think it's possible you've tunneled me every single game we've played together, which is unfortunate because I enjoy playing with you.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 2:27 amscum postsweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 11:05 pmMy respect for damo's ability as a player makes me think this is less likely to be a mistake.
##VOTE damo for now until I can wrap my head around this sordid affair and also complete my D1 analysis.
Oh well, maybe you'll help me solve in your own special way.
Thanks Bona.

Bozo, what would you say is the aspect of the game you're worst at?

I can't do it, I just can't do the VCA bit again, I am too tired.
I'm still analyzing, but just not reconstructing the day.
So far I have concluded Bona is very likely Town.
I agree with worcej that Will is a lot less likely to hard bus this game. The only player that is a candidate for bussing is Bona. However, Will actually tends to blanch when his teammate's wagon picks up steam. The last time he posted it was Bona vs sweetandcool with 2 hours to go. For Bona to be his teammate, either IRL would have unexpectedly kept him away for EoD or he was confident that his teammates could steer a sweetandcool (or other town) MK.
Hmmmm, actually it is uncharacteristic of Will to be so absent EoD. IRL must have kept him away regardless of the situation.
Well, if it was bussing it was a great act. Because Bona and Will really seemed to want to kill eachother. The only way they are teammates is if they clashed personality wise and it just felt natural to bus like maniacs.
Okay, for now: Bona=TOWN.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Reading Will's posts and I can only come to less than logical conclusions.
Crazy Conspiracy Theory: What if brain hit the scumteam in the post where he speculates that it is pirate-ghug-spart with the fourth being among Balki-Jamiet-food?
We know Food was Town and Will was Mafia. But suppose pirate-ghug-spart really are the scumteam?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, but the only things I know for sure:
Will very deliberately cozied up to Jamiet and sweetandcool. With Jamiet it is obvious. With sweetandcool he mostly sounded neutral and defensive of my behavior, but then he chose to put me as TOWN in his fake list.
Will very deliberately scummed Bozo, but not too hard. Bona initiated hostilities pretty early, and Will threw out the idea of Bozo/Bona as scumteam. Then after nothing happening he decided to pitch in and pick a fight with Bona right when Bona was picking on sweetandcool.
That's all of the agenda I could pick up from Will's play. Since I know my alignment, I think his behaviour in regards to me, and him picking a fight with Bona were all part of an attempt to pocket me and go after what he considered an easy mark (Bona).
I'm not sure what to make of his behavior towards Bozo, but I'm less inclined to think it was a bus because Will really likes squawking hard when he is bussing, and he really didn't poke Bozo all that hard at all.
I suspect that he very noticeably cozied up to Jamiet as a sort of WIFOM. I think Jamiet is more likely to be town based purely on this.

Conclusions so far:
Town:
Bozo
Bona
sweetandcool
Jamiet
I feel good at least with the Bozo read because I independently Town read them.
The other two I'm just going to have to accept as town until we run out of suspects.

Man, brainbomb gets me.
*chef's kiss*
My stunt at beginning of D1 was definitely more inline with Town sweetandcool for the reasons he said.
Massive respect for him, definitely the right reaction to be interested in the reactions to my stunt. I don't know if it ended up garnering any fruit, but indeed that was the point.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
In regards to the RB claims:
Either Jamiet or ghug was RB by brainbomb. Mafia either RB the remaining player, or holstered the RB and decided to insert themselves into the RB claims.
Lets suppose that Mafia did the latter. That would make Jamiet or ghug (or technically both) Mafia.
One tripping point immediately is I don't see either being part of a scumteam that decides to do that. My impression of them is that they would be leery of pseudo clearing Town with the RBs. There's just no getting around that.
Consequently I think that they were both RB, which means that at least one of them is Town.
It also means that whatever the scumteam is, they decided to RB outside of the NK. As far as I understand, this points to a mixture of less experienced players and more adventurous players.

Screw it, I respect brainbomb and I think I should just sheep him. He was wrong about ghug and should have said Will instead.
Otherwise, the scumteam is Vecna, pirate, Sparta.
Would Vecna be part of a team that RB outside of the NK.
Let's start with brainbomb's strongest scumread, which really makes sense to me:
##VOTE Sparta

Looking again at Bunny's and worcej's analysis to see if there is anything worth sheeping and seeing how it aligns with brainbomb's.
Impressions on Bunny's analysis:
Did a great job Towning accurately (though if brainbomb is correct then wrong about Vecna).
Did a wretched job at assessing scum, but their analysis basically was based on the assumption that Bozo is Mafia. Being incorrect about that degrades the value of a lot of the analysis.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
I like worcej's analysis on Will's state of mind.
I think, however, he makes the opposite conclusion about Balki that I would. I think scummates are going to be the ones he less likely to be inconsistent with. Messing up his read of Balki indicates he really didn't care all that much about where he placed Balki.
Otherwise I think his analysis is spot on. I think Bunny's explanation of his EoD voting is pretty plausible and probably absolves him from worcej's list. Otherwise, it was reasonable to place him there at the time that worcej made his analysis.

Re: Mafia 88: Murder at the Meadery - GAME THREAD
Goodnight everyone. I look forward to waking up to ghug voting me and bona dismissing my posts and calling me scum.
Probably not getting much more effort out of me this phase.
I'm disappointed that I didn't build a case that has potential to convince others, but I do feel good about essentially sheeping brainbomb. It feels like the right thing to do.
And so far nobody has really explored WHY brainbomb was killed particularly. I think scumteam was panicking and brainbomb was sussing at least two of them, and potentially even all three.
