Honestly I kind of like the subjective nature of the powers. It’s kind of nice for it to be not mechanically set.

Dip&War said that there is an ability to bring people to court. I do not have that ability, although I feel that my ability would have some relation with it. Does anyone here have that ability?

I find your eagerness to learn of other’s abilities suspicious.
Are you sure you can’t steal people’s points in this game?
Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
I would say I’m sure, but yet again, I wasn’t aware of your copy ability. I just wanted to know if we had someone who could punish others.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:09 pmI find your eagerness to learn of other’s abilities suspicious.

I once studied my mother's paralegal textbook and it was quite riveting.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:36 pmYou are probably the first person to say this ever

For what it's worth, if somebody ever DOES get taken to court, I'm paid to fight against themPengwinja wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:15 pmI would say I’m sure, but yet again, I wasn’t aware of your copy ability. Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
Hell I’m studying to be a lawyer and I don’t exactly like the legal system
Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
I enjoy using legal systems for my gain would be more correct for me. Coincidentally, my goal is for everyone to fish the same amount and have the pond grow.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:49 pmHell I’m studying to be a lawyer and I don’t exactly like the legal systemDrFidelis wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:37 pmI once studied my mother's paralegal textbook and it was quite riveting.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:36 pm

Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
Well I will be fishing 2 fish, as per our agreement
Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
It’s no longer an agreement, it is now law. Immediate confiscation of all fish and banished from the planet. I’ve got a prison on the moon if we need it.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 5:18 pmWell I will be fishing 2 fish, as per our agreement

I've heard you get put in solitary confinement for making a Sonic joke while using the bathroom up there.Pengwinja wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 6:05 pmIt’s no longer an agreement, it is now law. Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
Why is the game called Tragedy of the Commons? Or is it just cool sounding
Re: Tragedy of the Commons: a social experiment (game thread)
It’s an economic theory. The tragedy of the commons refers to a situation in which individuals with access to a public resource (also called a common) act in their own interest and, in doing so, ultimately deplete the resource.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 9:06 pmWhy is the game called Tragedy of the Commons? Fish are highly used “Commons” in these experiments.
