My ideas re election process:

Nominations to close at a specific time (say 7 days f I'm now).

Electorate - anybody having played at least one mafia game on webdip and not currently banned.

Up to two votes (one person seat) per voter. The two candidates amassing the most votes win the two seats. Ties resolved by random process if necessary. Votes by DM to darg (or some other non-canridate person nominated by darg who is agreeable). No change to vote once cast but second vote may be sent subsequent to first.

Voting period 7 days from close of nominations.

Unfortunately, worcej is not presently qualified to be a Kouncilor. He carries a ban, from a little while ago.

The qualifications for Kouncil self nominations will stand for now. We realize that 'ever having been banned' might be excessive. It seemed to us that examining 'pardon's during an election might be disengenuous. We will figure out some fine tunings after we are fully staffed at three. Apologies to those (and there were a couple) who were desirous, and personally qualified, but unable at this time to join.

One of the differences we anticipate is less 'long term permanent' members of Kouncil... so others will have the opportunity.

Also, we are using other players to help review. So thanks to those willing to help with that.

But seriously, reminder to all that this is, of course, NOT a popularity contest. If you are running, do not be hurt if you are not selected. That is all from patronizing darg, today, on this subject.

I will say I also do not like MVP statistics and find them very arbitrary.

I’m generally on the “empower GMs to do fun stuff” side so I think we can mess with post mins/maxes and phase lengths within reason.

Forgive me if I don't think that entirely explains matters.

Aha, I found it, never mind.

Proposal 2: We will hold yearly elections for Kouncil seats, starting now. Historically, one member of the Kouncil has been affiliated with the team that runs the site in some form. This is currently darg's position, and as such his seat is not up for reelection.
