I thought that was pretty great. If he cooked that up as scum he deserves a medal for how genuinely and solemnly 'lamenty' he made it feel.

I was feeling a bit suspicious about him, but that actually made me wanna shelf those insecure emotions.

I townread him for that. I don't consider trying and failing to be helpful as scummy behavior, as long as I think its a genuine attempt at being helpful. Bad town, good town, bad scum (helpful), good scum (helpful), bad scum (unhelpful) and good scum (unhelpful) are all different.

Scum

While I do think damo is on paper more scummy, I don’t feel good that he has constantly been the top wagon

And darg is absent and I have a terrible time reading low posters

Balki is active and is still pinging me and I really want to flip this slot

We don't get much data from this version of the plan. I have stated my objections to this version, so I'm not going to repeat them, but this is probably bad town. (balki, not brain)

To be fair, the whole conceit was that when a cop flips, we would have easy access to his scans.

That was the point, the rest of it was just to make sure the plan didn't inadvertently reveal a cop.

With the perspective, it makes sense to not really analyze the hypothetical scans, since they are designed to mostly be fake anyways.

No its scummy how he asks questions that seem to just be for the sake of making people look bad and then he never has much punch behind the questions. Nothing much happens and hes really passive about it all

I haven't really talked about it yet, but reviewing the timeline Chaqa was pretty open about protecting me.

So if I were Mafia he would either be incorrect town or a blatant partner.

Is that what you are asking?

I particularly mentioned Chaqa because that was the first implication I could think of off the top of my head. But I was just explaining my general process, which is what I thought you wanted me to explain.

Do you thereby believe that, from a 3rd party perspective where you could be scum, that Chaqa defended you so hard and openly as well as opening up the saving counterwagon is a scum move? How do you think Chaqa was thinking at the time when mysterious wagonee X (you) were at the top at the eod?

Separately, knowing that you are town, what do you then think of Chaqa's behavior at eod1? His behavior arguably saved you, but if you are innocent then is it not a more natural conclusion that he was saving damo instead? What do you make of his eod play, relative to his overall play in general?

Heh, you are asking about things that I am planning on analyzing.

Knowing that I am town, I think Chaqa's behavior was consistent and it aligned with what I would expect from him based on previous games I have had with him. It's possible he was saving damo, but it doesn't feel that way to me.

In the case where I am Mafia, I think it's hard to divine Chaqa's alignment. I think interpretation of that largely depends on who is forming the opinion. But I think it essentially boils down to a WIFOM. Was Chaqa counting on the fact that his protection of his teammate was so nakedly obvious that nobody would think we were teammates? Or was he simply mistaken Town?

In either case, I think Chaqa didn't want me voted, wasn't enthusiastic about damo either but preferred it over me, was convinced by Will that Ham was plausibly scum, and so consequently supported the Ham flash wagon.

Please keep in mind these are coming from my gut, I have not had a chance to analyze and make a proper argument. I may change my mind after looking at it longer.

I find it odd that you aren’t considering any case where I am mafia but you are town. What do you know that we don’t?

I mean, that's been my problem with him. But his one post felt authentically towny. Of course, Ham got me the same way in a previous game, so I have been secretly scum-town-reading him.
