Anyways damo if you don’t have an impeccable explanation for that post then I’m gonna vote you
I agree that Damo's post is illogical. Is it the kind of illogic that comes from Scum or Town? That's what I'm considering.
Town!damo is a very logical fellow. I was surprised he wasn’t all up in the mech talk earlier.

I don’t know damo that well, but from the games I’ve played with him, that is probably the most scummy post I’ve seen from him

I’m trying to figure that out still so I’m waiting on his response
Allowing him a response is how scum weasel out of things. See scumthing kill scumthing.

How would you describe your main motivation for elaborating on a world view where you are scum
Well, I'm not quite to the point of making a case on myself, to disprove the case on myself. I'm still more interested in VCA right now. Once I am done, and if I am under enough pressure, I'll certainly have to work hard to convince people to not be on my wagon.

I am always comfortable with examining a worldview where I am scum because:

1. If someone thinks I am scum they are more likely to dismiss my posts. If I at least acknowledge their worldview then they are more likely to at least consider what I am saying.

2. I can point out inconsistencies with that world view.

3. It helps me fight personal bias. Things that are"obvious" to me are due to my knowledge of my alignment. These things will not be obvious to those who do not know my alignment, particularly those who suspect me. I need to keep that in mind when I am making an argument.

I have PLENTY

1. This looks like cop hunting
2. There are many different interpretations of TRUE and FALSE, FALSE could be not a judge/angel, and true could mean is a judge/angel
3. This looks like a way you can conveniently push food, kotp, and me
4. Your reasoning on sweet is stupid. I thought we agreed the result we got would be random?
5. This has underlying tones of agenda
6. Vibes
1. It may but it isn't it's just a methodology
2. I know that but FALSE is more likely to indicate scum than not
3. Nothing convenient about it. I looked at all the claims and that is what I gleaned.
4. No it isn't. Id sweet were scum I think he would merely copy previous results.
5. Nope, just a methodolgy.
6. Doesn't need a response.
Okay mate guess I shoulda flipped heads on my coin toss then

This is just cop hunting

##VOTE DAMO

And if I was trying to push a miskill, wouldn’t I push ghug???

What does this post even mean

What is the inconsistency in the world view where if you are scum, Chaqa is likely one too? In fact, what is the original link to begin with

Huh, maybe I didn't understand you.

I haven't really talked about it yet, but reviewing the timeline Chaqa was pretty open about protecting me.

So if I were Mafia he would either be incorrect town or a blatant partner.

Is that what you are asking?

I particularly mentioned Chaqa because that was the first implication I could think of off the top of my head. But I was just explaining my general process, which is what I thought you wanted me to explain.

Until today Pirates was widely townread, and most players other than snowy had them solidly as new player with a fun attitude.

As of last night a few things happened.
they came into the game claiming to be ready to share their cop scan, and asked if they should also post their result.

This can be just poor understanding of the plan in general, but it can also be intentional effort to townslip himself, from ideas discussed in a mafia chat.

then he referred to himself as a vanilla townie, and the VT roles in this game are actually vanilla citizens. there is not much mention of vanilla townie, however ghug noticed via search that the term townie, and term VT are thrown out a ton, so this was mostly an irrelevant thing and probably not a slip.

then he came into the day with a scan, and a roleblock claim.

I dont know that any of this necessarily points to scum, more than just unrehearsed town who hasnt thought through alot of the nuances.

the scummy thing about pirates is none of these things. it is the lack of townreads they have, and the apparent lack of non parroted ideas of who might be mafia.

maybe this is harsh but I dont recall alot of original thought, mostly just go with the crowd, or go with certain players seems to be his mentality.

All that added up, im moving him to Null and not in my top town.

My top town is still balki-food-snowy
Kotp is not really new since he has played social deduction games before. If you play Feast for Odin you’ll grok Viticulture to some degree or if you play Battlefield you’ll get COD. Don’t say kotp is nee.

Actually that is unfair of me insofar as kotp may be new to forum mafia but we shouldn’t ignore he has transferable skills.

No I’m saying vote damo. The more you let scum talk and do the logic dance the better they getcha. Especially D1 and we are effectively still in D1.

Maybe because we all originally came here for a lying game is the reason mafia play translates particularly well

I played a wretched first game here on Webdip, and I had played a few realtime Mafia games on a website previously.

I think it's pretty overwhelming the first time you play forum Mafia on webdip.

I think you understood fine, thank you.

Do you thereby believe that, from a 3rd party perspective where you could be scum, that Chaqa defended you so hard and openly as well as opening up the saving counterwagon is a scum move? How do you think Chaqa was thinking at the time when mysterious wagonee X (you) were at the top at the eod?

Separately, knowing that you are town, what do you then think of Chaqa's behavior at eod1? His behavior arguably saved you, but if you are innocent then is it not a more natural conclusion that he was saving damo instead? What do you make of his eod play, relative to his overall play in general?
