I was unsure of how to proceed following an RB, whether it was customary or not to announce it publicly. So I flipped a coin to randomize the result, which looked to me to be the protocol if one didn’t do an actual investigation which yielded results. Once I was informed of publicly announcing rb, I immediately let you all know.damo666 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 3:42 pmIf you were RB'd why did you invent a result?kingofthepirates wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 9:27 pmI have flipped a coin, which was tails. I’ve been thinking a lot, and I think rdr is almost certainly mafia. ##vote rdr. I don’t want to give it away, but there is a really compelling reason rdr is mafia.

Well, there are lots of reason to make a vote.
Also, bizarre play doesn't mean it comes from a Wolf. I'd say that bizarre play more often comes from Town. What is your theory on why Wolf!footcoats decides to put down a hypothetical fake False scan on Vecna, vote Vecna, and then vote elsewhere?

You shouldn't say you flipped a coin though. Just announce the outcome. Saying you flipped a coin is tantamount to saying "I am not cop", of course you may realise this and said it on purpose. Obviously don't reply.

Light mode gives you a little red box telling you that you haven't read a specific post yet. This is critical to my mafia workflow.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 6:07 pmIt erased post newness? What do you mean?
I get a little thing at the top of the thread telling me a new post was made.

Translation: If you have a guilty on someone and know they are evil aligned. be sure to avoid that person, say nothing, allow them to overtake the entire town. if reasoning doesnt win, saying nothing will preserve your dignity.

Re: Mafia 87: Madness in Mega-City One - GAME THREAD
Until today Pirates was widely townread, and most players other than snowy had them solidly as new player with a fun attitude.
As of last night a few things happened.
they came into the game claiming to be ready to share their cop scan, and asked if they should also post their result.
This can be just poor understanding of the plan in general, but it can also be intentional effort to townslip himself, from ideas discussed in a mafia chat.
then he referred to himself as a vanilla townie, and the VT roles in this game are actually vanilla citizens. there is not much mention of vanilla townie, however ghug noticed via search that the term townie, and term VT are thrown out a ton, so this was mostly an irrelevant thing and probably not a slip.
then he came into the day with a scan, and a roleblock claim.
I dont know that any of this necessarily points to scum, more than just unrehearsed town who hasnt thought through alot of the nuances.
the scummy thing about pirates is none of these things. it is the lack of townreads they have, and the apparent lack of non parroted ideas of who might be mafia.
maybe this is harsh but I dont recall alot of original thought, mostly just go with the crowd, or go with certain players seems to be his mentality.
All that added up, im moving him to Null and not in my top town.
My top town is still balki-food-snowy

Nobody put any stock at all into any of the hypo claims. They are purposefully ambiguous. They tell you nothing. Completely disregard them until we have Cop flips or Cop hard claims. Cheers. * * *

What would you like to see as the top wagons?
I'm pretty set on Dip or damo. Darg would also be a good wagon which is somehow absent.

Maybe Vecna.
Maybe some of the quieter posters like DrF and worcej

should we use reverse psychology and assume that an entire scumteam chose to pretend to scan me to attempt to distance that they wouldnt have done it coordinated, and it was all just random
