Why didn't people vote for DrFidelis lol. What's the reason for Ham? Bizarre.
what's the reason for voting DrFidelis?

Brian had some questionable stances about voting food, who he saw as kinda town, because he didn't want to increase the mean machine power. I found that very suspicious, as an excuse to not vote for someone else as to not put his foot down who he thought was mafia, and as a possible angel connection of Brian to food (like, he intentionally voting the mean machine to increase the power while saying the polar opposite). Well, after the flip, turns out I was wrong about all that, but I think if he hadn't flipped, I might've tunneled him further the next day(s).

A few points of order:

I never kill rdrivera d1. This is a known factor for me. I have no similar policy for Vecna, but didn't particularly have a reason to want to kill him. Similar low posters like fidelis/brian or late posters like worcej/kaka also did not garner any major interest, so I didn't find Vecna's major absence all that questionable
Though Balki wasn't my strongest town read I had no intentions of ever ending on him
I did not help vote out Brian, I wanted dip> nd> damo, I voted 2 seconds before EoD to avoid tie (here I'd like to pose my own question on whether you actually didn't realize that as this is a strange framework)
The valid vote comment: I do believe I misquoted someone, but someone voted ##vote Will and I wanted to ask if this could be made a valid vote, as it wasn't (since ##vote Just is a valid vote already my comment would make no sense otherwise)
I'm not sure what touch and feel PR element you purport (thanks Jamie) I hate, I dislike PRs as a whole. Most of my "town hero" games, if such games can be said to exist, come from a VT perspective I think
Not much to say on kotp now
Once again, the Balki push from my perspective was never serious and I once again inquire whether you actually don't see that, given that you seem to have deep dived me
Okay it took me a while to realize this was a reply to me. I am only really interested in the last thing you wrote where you say the balki push was never serious. At the time it occurred it took sweets wagon and diminished it from a 6 down to a 4, and took balki up to a 4. it seems fairly significant to me for final 20 minutes for this to occur. but if you say you were not taking balki serious as a scum candidate, and were not paying any attention to the wagon size I suppose I accept that answer.
The damo-sweet deadlock was a poor state of affairs. My wagon wasn't gaining traction so I joined ghug's

I was in fact paying attention to the wagon size, I simply did not believe this particular one would take off to the end

we should make a running list of all people who someone gave a free pass too for day 1.

from my memory it was like
sweet because we day 1 him alot
pirate because hes new
fidelis because hes new
damo because damo is boring

any others
well, I have a list of people I don't go too hard on D1, but I wouldn't call it a free pass. Well, the most free pass would probably be RD, and Snowy, for me, but if I notice something that would make me think they are mafia, I would still vote them. Maybe you, brain, and balki, and ghug.

And I guess there was a part of me that didn't want D1 sweet too because of that. Hmm. I'm also a bit soft on newer players, I think. Though that is more like for 'getting to know them', but a part of it is also letting them play. So hmm.

let me preface this by letting you know that last game I spent 2.5 phases hard tunneling ghug and quoting every post he made and seeing the scum indicative reasons why he would do what he was doing. Only to see him flip town, with me as his top scumread. So, I have a bit of reluctance in jumping to conclusions on this, maybe even moreso than I normally would.

##VOTE Balki, time to party
As already stated, ghug tends to make his first vote a show of respect. I asked about this a little bit, and Balki assured me to pay no mind to this vote and that it was completely inconsequential. So, it seems to me that ghug could be bussing balki there, but also; balki could just have been trying to make it seem ghug was bussing there.
OR it could be its just the same bullshit ghug does and he hasn't played with Balki in ages and wants to have some respect comraderie stuff with an old friend. (If I recall, balki and ghug actually go to lunches together and hang out in Seattle)

-----
the ghug and balki cop plan
lets be realistic that this game may only even have 2 cops so this is a ton of work to put together, and a max of 5 cops.
In pregame if these two were both scum, this couldve been a plan to both put plans out for how to proceed with the claims.

Im leaning more that this is just ghug trying to make amendments to the plan, and not a preplanned agenda by both of them.

Page 13 for ghug is alot of scummy 1 liners
Page 14 he votes ND and has some questions about fidelis

Weird defense of will

Actually I rescind my townread on sweet. Mafia can also genuinely try to solve because there’s 3 parties. I missed this.

So the main way we are going to be able to solve this game is through flips and mechs.
Mafia try to appear to genuinely solve and can very often succeed in doing so. This is a weird statement. It feels like non-town Will trying to figure out how to be scum in a three way game.
What Will is describing is a fundamental difference between this game and most games. If he's scum, he almost certainly realized that during night chat and is acting as a townie figuring it out.
Im not sure why ghug thinks this is a realistic reason to defend will.

Ok what if, and hear me out on this one, I am a townie figuring it out
That's kind of my point. It's either an authentic town thought process or you faking an authentic town thought process. It's not you "trying to figure out how to be scum" out in the open.

Balki is first to hit 4 votes, and the wagon completely evaporated.

We may have our first candidate for being the mean machine
So, we either ensure we DK him or have no votes on him.

Let's kill him.

##vote Balki
You agree with brainbomb's assessment?
damo and ghug probably are never mafia together however.

I don't endorse this strategy because we'll never actually do it and it would be bad even if we did and even if it were me but I do if it's me because I like power.

Parse that, assholes.
I'm not participating in this mayor stuff, but honestly I already determined that I would sheep you unless I feel strongly about someone. So I guess that is effectively a mayor vote.
Why would you do that? History suggests I'm only good at catching scum D1 if you're scum. Thus I can only conclude that you're inclined to sheep me because you're scum.
sweet vs ghug
I have to say ghug shows sharpness here and awareness of something beyond just this game. Maybe this shook ghug to life, but it seems like this pinged ghug on sweet. could be bussing but feels alot like just town ghug.

You.

Please discuss.
I don’t think I’ve done anything particularly indicative of being anything other than town. I don’t know anyone’s tells or past behaviors since this is my first game (I’m kinda here just to learn the ropes and have some fun). At the moment, im mainly focused on watching others discuss to try and figure out people’s usual mannerisms. For those suggesting I may be coached: if I were, there is no way I would be this passive and flipping my vote around so often. Logically, those coaching me would probably urge for a strong confident front to support their agenda. I hope my constant voting and unvoting is enough to show my lack of an agenda, and this lack of coaching, and thus my role as town.
This feels like town.
agreed

This implies Balki is not only the mean machine but also that some number of his voters are on his scum. Definitely an interesting possibility…

Would Angel!Balki have scum motivation for cop hypoing? I am too braindead from travel to figure it out at the moment.
Is it an interesting possibility?

Can you really spell that possibility out please? What's the theory? Which of my Day 1 early voters appear most likely to be on my Angel team? Explain the strategy that this Angel team has used so far. Explain whether you think this is the kind of suggestion that is likely to be true and should be validated or is likely to be false and should be ignored or refuted.
This feels more concerned with winning the argument than with solving food.
bad post by ghug, because ghug made no effort to solve food either.

So far, not looking great. the only thing that seems like ghug sharpening his nooses is the sweet reactivity
