I mean, you did conflate America with the Western Hemisphere. I'm annoyed by lazy "Americans suck" rhetoric, but it's not a pattern I've seen from rd and it felt somewhat warranted in that case after you insulted several people by omission.

Oh, I guess I implicitly did when I referred to the West Coast and East Coast, but that's because I didn't feel like thinking about the actual names of the time zones.

I think it was more the assumption that Western Hemisphere=American DST. Brazil doesn't use DST and is in the Western Hemisphere. Europeans in the Western Hemisphere, like Jamie, use DST that starts at a different time.

Anyway, I don't think anyone's being racist, and I agree with Balki.
