On further thought I also think d&w might be townie and Kennit is a bit suspicious.
What is a Kennit and why is it suspicious?
He's destined to be the King of the Pirate Isles!

Vibes.

This game is meant to make you suffer. It is not intended to be fun.

And another reason this plan is good is because the bad guys are going to fake claim cop in this format! This will put their feet in concrete when they are trying to come up with a fake claim later.
Balki for Mayor.

Okay, let's talk about something else.

I still feel good about my Damo vote. How do other people feel about Damo and why?
Damo D1 MK would make me incredibly unhappy. Make a mental note and move onto someone else for the DK please.
I'm doing this myself with at least two players, but why are you advocating it to everyone, and why damo?

I've taken a look at the current votes, and it seems that 2 people are currently 'leading' in terms of people voting for them; damo and ND. I've seen the argument regarding damo, but may I ask the reason so many people (relatively speaking) are voting ND? perhaps this is my experience, but so far I can't see they have done anything particularly bad, outside of an admittedly annoying bit. I haven't seen any of the vote posts put actual reasons too. this is not a defense by any means, I'm just curious as to the reasoning.
I find having him around to be a net negative regardless of his alignment, and killing him is enjoyable.

So, I am still unable to rule out that will and sweet are mafia together on one of the two teams.
I'm confused, why do they have to be scum together? I agree with the basic scum-read (even if my reads don't currently align) but can't they be scum apart? Why are they paired?

I can't remember if it's pronounced gee-hug or gug and that really bothers me.
One syllable, rhymes with gug.

I think it is fairly likely that Balki is an Angel, but I was thinking, should we even clip his wings D1? So I actually thought a bit about the setup a little.

Mafia is the Judges. Angels are practically just another town faction. Yeah, they potentially get a NK if voting lines up, but they have to be careful because they can potentially give us clues as to who the killer on their team is. Otherwise, they only roleblock or potentially flip a result, which would probably only be used as a protective measure.

Consequently, I view Angels as pseudo town, or not-vanilla-town. Their goals are very similar to Town, so I think keeping Balki around for now is OK.

I think Balki's plan is definitely helpful to the Angel faction as well as town. The Angel's need to control the game and using town to acquire information is helpful to them. If people's fake scans are on an Angel then they can use that information to help them sort who could potentially be real PRs.

Of course there are some variables but still that is how I see it.

I could see wagons being larger than usual due to mafia hardsiding with town vs anyone who isnt on their team. Because the two teams are going to prefer anyone dying but their own guy. So, you might have a point there Hammy. however I dont think there would be more wagon movement than usual, especially if town takes the suggestion to just stay on their gut reads.

So, that whole thought feels a little muddy.
I saw your other note about the scum teams bussing less in this setup. I am not convinced. Maybe they will try harder to avoid getting their team killed (less Will “I know sweet’s scumtell” maneuvers) but they will still vote for each other and mix it up.
This is fine to say in principle but what are some examples youve seen so far that looked like bussing for the sake of just bussing so far? Being able to distinguish between mafia on team A voting team B, and it being misread as a bus move would be really hard to do. If theyre both scummy then the bussing part of it is pretty meaningless. Also, sometimes before considering flips, and actually seeing them, bussing is easier to spot before than it is after. Folks tend to get lost once they have to start hunting with a bias in mind
Hmmm well I guess I don't "pre-see" busses, I was more saying that, in general, the mafia teams might bus the other members of their own teams. So when looking back, I would not discount that, if we got a scum, that their wagon would be devoid of other members of their team. Although I do think there was some funny business when damo voted snowy - it looked off.

This implies Balki is not only the mean machine but also that some number of his voters are on his scum. Definitely an interesting possibility…

Would Angel!Balki have scum motivation for cop hypoing? I am too braindead from travel to figure it out at the moment.
Is it an interesting possibility?

Can you really spell that possibility out please? What's the theory? Which of my Day 1 early voters appear most likely to be on my Angel team? Explain the strategy that this Angel team has used so far. Explain whether you think this is the kind of suggestion that is likely to be true and should be validated or is likely to be false and should be ignored or refuted.
Now that I have actually caught up some more and thought through some things, it is not an interesting possibility lol.

This is not correct. Because each Hypo claim is generic (not specific to any kind of Cop), the Angels will not know which scans are real and which are hypothetical. This is the advantage of the fact that we have many kinds of Cops and nobody will know what kind of Cop any scan came from until that Cop flips. Even the Cop him or herself (in most cases) won’t know until after they flip.

Ok. Nvm then.

Kotp is the only townread I have

Everyone not listed is null, but food and sweet are high null

Balki, snowy, damo scumreads. Maybe darg as well
You know what… damo’s intro is actually pretty scummy.

##VOTE damo666

My initial joke vote on Will grew into a seed of legitimate doubt last night but I’m coming around on Will. I will reciprocate the “high null” even though this sounds like something teenagers say that I am too old to understand.
Oy! I’m almost not a teenager! :raging:
Sorry, it wasn't a comment on your age so much as mine.

I had a weed joke at the ready but then I realized I was probably not cool or funny enough to pull it off.

No. Angel's will see the "target". If the "target" is an Angel, then they will gain some info.

You seem strangely fixated on disproving the notion that you could be coached.

What do you think has been the most interesting thing about this game? Is there anything that you find confusing so far?
it has been brought up more than once, and I'd like to put those accusations to rest.

My greatest confusion stems from my inexperience and lack of communication in this setting. Everyone already seems settled in and is taking everything in stride, while I'm kinda sitting here trying to keep track of all the directions the discussion is going. accusations and defenses, as well as posts that may not even be relevant! and it's all updating so quickly... Also, I'm very unfamiliar with the mannerisms of people playing mafia, so I don't understand the significance of things such as amount of participation, voting patterns, etc. and how those can be tells to if someone is Mafia or not (side note: is scum the same as mafia?).

As for interesting, I like the overall experience of the game, and general excitement I'm getting. I sincerely enjoyed Among Us when it was big, and social deduction games have always been fun for me. I probably should've tried Mafia before, but never could find a group that was interested :(.
It is indeed a very weird game.

The main thing is not to worry too much about what people think of you, but do clarify when they have questions about the things you say, and just focus on figuring out what you think of others so that you can help the town to sort the player list.
