Is the Mean Machine Angel (MMA) powers really worth the extended effort to fabricate a wagon beyond the first (NK?)
I don't think so

my work deluge of meetings is over now and I do finally have time to play. hilarious that my version of being overwhelmed and mega busy is still 70 posts more engaging than 1/3 of the players.

I don't think this is true on net.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:38 pmNow that you have me thinking about it, the mean machine is incentivized to act scummy and get votes. I don’t know what to do with that exactly right now. But it is neat.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 2:50 pmthe fewer the wagons there are at EOD the less likely it is we have to deal with mean machine tonight. getting everyone to agree on this is gonna be pretty hard. but people choosing no kill in this situation would seem to be promoting a somewhat pro town strategy even if they were to end the day that way.
so you choose between spreading a wide range of options at end of day for voters, and promoting variety, but it risks adding an extra nk to the equation.
or you just have everyone consolidate on like two big ass wagons and try not to let this extra kp into the mix.
does anyone think this level of cooperation is realistic or could be agreed on?
Think about this: Let's say there are 2-3 kills on N1. What conclusions might the Town draw from that? What might the Town do next?
Re: Mafia 87: Madness in Mega-City One - GAME THREAD
That’s fair. My major leak as town is thinking that only town try to solve. Scum players here on webdip seem very good at appearing to solve. That’s why I was pinged, I guess. The act of making genuine seeming solvy statements is largely irrelevant to alignment.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 3:47 pmOk what if, and hear me out on this one, I am a townie figuring it out

I refuse to answer this question under any circumstances. It's a secret.

I think damo has been identical to both his scum and his town metasweetandcool wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 7:24 pmThis is interesting. brainbomb, how would you say damo has differed from his usual D1? What makes damo specifically more likely to be Mafia than Town?
Does he normally seem more engaged D1?
He is more likely to be mafia because without fully reading he got excited about the possibility of balki being eligible to die on a cheap method. or he just wanted to briefly bus to avoid any future assertions he wasnt mafia with balki.
when he quickly pivoted away, and then disappeared, if this is the best we can say about his town game then I think you might be setting the bar a little low.
he normally does feel a little more engaged in games with lots of PR, and usually has a much better tone of concern and procedure.

Ironic that you are the one regurgitating it right now. Also the opening post does not refute it.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:26 pmIt is abnormally lazy of sweet and will to both try to use mech and out of game stuff to clear or condemn people too. Especially that is a trait of wills scum game where he relentlessly tries to fake townslips.
The main tell I am referring too here is repeated regurgitation of when this game started by Will, despite having quoted the opening post which refutes his and sweets arguments categorically.
and additionally this strange notion that people were being coached in pregame when there is evidence to suggest players may not have even been in those pregame chats, and for that matter may still not even be in them as of now.
So many logic leaps and spurrious ideas being barfed into the thread, and everything we think its been put to rest, one of them brings it back up as if there is some reason they supposedly distrust one another for it.
I have not been relentlessly hammering on the same topics.
You don't make sense to me right now.

There's no difference between the Link and Fink angel beyond flavor right?
Re: Mafia 87: Madness in Mega-City One - GAME THREAD
This seems like a notion you keep coming back too is that im mafia but you lack any actual reason for saying it. Saying im scum for the wrong reasons here seems alot like where you said I was scum for knowing when the game started. And that seems like a pre-planned line of attack more than one based on my actual play or my posts.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 6:37 pmYou might be right, but for the wrong reasons. I think what you are seeing is a symptom of him being busy.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 6:32 pm##VOTE BRAIN
Other than ghug, whom he isn’t and has not voted, brain’s scumreads have had absolutely no progression. In his town games, he usually reveals it. This is not a brain town game

the opening post says 10:00 PST. I dont like in bucktooth land, and I dont have a tesco down the street. I had to look up what that even was to know when the game was starting.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:44 pm

What exactly is the GM error that is causing this meta read? What did it say in PST?brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:47 pmthe opening post says 10:00 PST. Yes, BST. it sounds like sweet is putting that whole topic to rest and for everyones sanity we can move on. long story short He thought that because I knew when the game started that it was because the time on the game thread shows a different start time than was advertised in signups, which I didnt read, in fact I backed out of even being in this game for a month.
Hes saying I only knew the game started because I was in a pregame scum chat, and he has since moved on from that idea. At least I assume he has. it was will who brought it back up again and didnt specify why

You know what… damo’s intro is actually pretty scummy.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 4:38 pmOk. Nvm then.
Kotp is the only townread I have
Everyone not listed is null, but food and sweet are high null
Balki, snowy, damo scumreads. Maybe darg as well
##VOTE damo666
My initial joke vote on Will grew into a seed of legitimate doubt last night but I’m coming around on Will. I will reciprocate the “high null” even though this sounds like something teenagers say that I am too old to understand.

Bolded indicates I am not sure of your alignment. Underlined is why I consider his reason for suspecting you to be wrong.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:46 pmThis seems like a notion you keep coming back too is that im mafia but you lack any actual reason for saying it. It’s been a long time since I’ve played with snowy, but you know what? I think… damo and snowy are scum on the same team.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 5:12 pmSnowy,
What do you think of the game so far? you seem to be pretty content with the flow of the game and are even willing to be deemed the mayor. Are there any candidates you would say are off limits at present?
also as a side note, thank you for playing again and I know we have some negative history. Just wanted to let you know that I have tried to refine how I behave and play in these games to not overwhelm threads with too many wild theories. Last several outings I have been alot more focused and usually just try to find some scummy people; and then I tunnel them.
It usually catches 1 mafia. and when I limit myself to three candidates I tend to have better results by staying consistent, and focusing on those people rather than going off into dreamspace. I still butt heads with the usuals like damo, chaqa and Jamie. But it tends to be mostly civil. I will of course afford you the same luxury and not try to talk over you incessantly.
Re: Mafia 87: Madness in Mega-City One - GAME THREAD
im more interested in the "for the wrong reasons" remark which implies you have or ever had some valid reason
