Why are you giving foodcoats town credit for immediately believing someone was claiming a mafia scan on him, and why are you not suspicious of his RB claim?

I mean, I was claiming a scan on him. I think pressing me to confirm that's what I'm claiming so he can take a 1:1 is pretty townie. I think he'd be more uncomfortable or immediately CC as scum in that situation.

I don't see much reason to lie about the roleblock in that situation, and it gives us insight into a convoluted townie thought process that I also don't think he'd think to fake.

You did not claim a scan on him though, so why would foodcoats be inclined to believe that you did? brainbomb was soft claiming a cop scan, and you may have been trying a role swap, but foodcoats jumped to a conclusion.

1. ghug said he was the cop, that he had a guilty scan, that he had crumbed the scan, brain had figured it out, and brain would reveal it
2. brain voted for me, then ghug voted for me

To think this is not sending a message that they mechanically knew I was mafia is absurd. And since I knew it was impossible, I challenged them.

In fact it goes back to the behaviour that made me scumread Bunny initially; early game he was trying to create information overload with his posts. Now he is pushing back on POE and townreading. It’s bad for town. Like if Bunny is town, why does he think he needs to coach me that I might be wrong in my read of him? It’s obvious I could be wrong. But pointing it out also shakes attempts to build foundations.

Yes given the GF is dead a cop with a guilty scan should obviously claim. The fact neither ghug (nor brain) explicitly claimed cop with a specific guilty target indicated they were messing about (either as scum or mischievous town but let's just leave it as nai). Now it is possible ghug is cop with an inno scan so asking him to confirm he is not cop is not helpful to town but is helpful to scum. So obviously ghug won't answer regardless of alignment.

At this point there is nothing more to be made of it. I have resolved to listen to my town reads closely going forward to avoid tilt towards brain and ghug. My strongest towns are BunnyGo and Frogster. I think you are town, too.

Bunny said something that made me question if my read was correct, but ultimately the end of day suggested Bunny was very unlikely to be scum, because I know I am town, and when Bunny and I were the lead wagons, sweet chose to focus on Bunny. If Bunny was scum, sweet would likely have made a case on me instead.

I missed D1 EOD, and when I had to leave knowing I would not be back before EOD, BunnyGo and foodcoats had 3 votes each, so I vote for foodcoats because he had said some things that I found somewhat suspicious. There had not been much voting in the hour before I voted, but for some reason there was a lot of voting activity immediately after I placed my vote.

I suspect foodcoats is mafia, and if he is, my suspicion of BunnyGo would increase, although now foodcoats seems like he may be trying to pocket BunnyGo, so I am not sure what that means in the case where foodcoats is mafia.

Well I always pocket all my teammates when I'm scum, and since you caught me pocketing sweet, well shit you figured it out!

I have incredibly high esteem for bozo as town. The one time I pulled a "personal life" card as scum was when bozo was pushing me and I had no way to fire back other than appeal to emotion. Either a lot's changed since I've played here or he do be scum like that.

Right, I said, "Wow, what did brain get from that one post?" I was surprised but I believed it at first - I don't know what weird inside references you all have. But I only pressed for the hard claim later, after brain and ghug voted for me. And I pressed because I have this message from the gamemaster that implies it's impossible to have a guilty scan on me.
