The day has slowly closed and he was sitting with his companions around the logfire. Crossing the river has been exhausting, but it needed to be done to scout ahead to not run unprepared into the enemy army. Now he could finally enjoy and share a good sip of his Schnaps with his troops.

Suddenly, they heard noises from behind; some chatter and trampling coming closer. Probably some unwashed infantries. When they came closer, he saw his thoughts confirmed. Ah well, they fought on the same side at least, so they couldn't be that bad.

The bunch approached the fire, set their look on the bottle in his hands. "Heya, there" a voice sounded, "what a nice thing you have there. Care to share a bit with us?" He scoffed. Of course. The first thing for those was to demand alcohol. "Nah, this is the lords one, he only allowed us to drink a bit." This wasn't exactly true, but it would work to keep them off for now.

"Come ooon, kollega, give us some drinks, we will fight in some battles soon, let us enjoy our lives together!" He sighed as an answer. "No can do. This is the lords, and only we can drink. Ask your own boss to gift you some drinks."

The discussion continued for a long time and neither gave up. After a while, and a few long sips, he thought the best would be to build some walls around the stored barrels, so none of them could just sneak around and steal their Schnaps. He took a few of his friends and together they started building.

"Hey, you know what hic would be good? If I build a shelf hic shelf hic shelffiring shystem hic hic" one of his friends and put his pistol on top of the wooden construction. "Don't be shtubid, get it offf" another one said, trying to grab it, but missing, and the pistol fell.

Suddenly, a lout shot rang through the dark of the early night, and everyone around jumped up. A massive noise of words in different languages sounded all around, romanian, german, hungarian, lombardic, and neither understood each other. People shouting louder and louder, and suddenly more shots were fired in the night.

"The enemy!" "We're under attack!" "GET THEM!" "Revenge for Sultau!" "DON'T LET THEM GET OVER THE RIVER!"

And then the artillery began to fire, drowning out all the shouting noises, raining doom down on everthing below.

Half asleep, Emperor Joseph II of Habsburg-Lotharingia came out of his tent, watching in disbelief what was happening. He instantly issued orders for the army to stop and then retreat into friendly territory.

Two days later, the Ottoman army arrived, discovering dead and wounded soldiers and easily taking Karánsebes.

-) the 100,000 men stron army suffered around 10,000 casualities

-) at least five different languages (german, hungarian, croat, italian, romanian) were spoken from different army units

-) attempts on halting the fiasco ended only in increasing it, due to language differences and miscommunication

Oh man. I’m really sorry everyone. I hadn’t realized that the switch from 6pm to 5pm was for all phases and not just game start. I sincerely apologize and it won’t happen again. Thank you GMs for being more merciful than I deserve, I appreciate it.
