Hey, I want to remind everyone that there are 5 scum slots and on a social level 5 people in 20 have an immense amount of influence over the group. I'm going to focus on my aggressive scum hunting stuff and build a PoE as fast as I can. I hope that we have a few mech-minded townies who can focus on solving the setup.

Every time i post, it jumps me to the end, and I saw someone call out frog for not having scum reads. this conflicts with that.

Also, I saw frog trying to tell me what to do, and I don't even know them yet. I'd prefer a hello first, and an understanding that I have a life outside this.

It's good, as for impressions, Kak seems ok I think. The activity endvote on damo seems fine to me, though I'm not sure if that's normal for him or not been a while since i've played. Not a fan of will jumping on though, bot doesn't seem to be posting but I don't think everyone has posted yet, so "i don't like low posters" doesn't seem great to me.

Jamie not much yet, sweet I don't really get the end vote but that's whatever, probably just a D1 joke vote, heart I don't really like his post, but I do agree that I don't want to have a mechanics discussion this early, and not too much else yet for me. I'll probably be around this evening,but may be a bit slower on the responses the later it gets

there was the exchange between heart and neph about including or not including mafia in the PR list. I think that is an interesting call out against heart, but not enough for me to hang my hat on yet

If you're going to OMGUS me then just say it instead of pretending like you haven't read the thread. Town OMGUS all the time too, it's okay, you don't have to go to all this extra work to make up a scum read.

chaqa just felt like trying to hit a post quota and act oblivious

which when he is town he is usually pretty shameless
and will flat out tell you he hasnt read, plans not to read, doesnt care about day 1 or something to that effect.

and his posts seem strangely filler and formulaic without the shamelessness of his usual meta

and lfischl seems like someone who barely plays, rarely posts, and often coasts or just lurks. he is trying and is actually forcing some things out and it seems rushed and almost like he is just doing this to benefit his scum rand as opposed to actually solving

Okay, now I've embarassed myself even more with that crosspost lol. Chaqa's entrance did feel a little weird, but I had put that down to poor execution rather than scumminess.

Fisch I thought felt the need to respond to direct questions from frogster, which feels like something he would do. He hasn't pinged me as scum!fisch with his responses, and he definitely does lurk as scum.

At this point everyone is null to me, except for neph. I very slightly scumread neph, because they got immediately into the mechs, which feels to me like scum thinking of a strategy beforehand and then implementing it too fast.

I could just as easily be wrong but who knows. Only neph.

Also @Frogster if you weren’t from a completely separate community I would say suspicion for another player this early is not a good look, but I digress.

Ive read everything frog has done and I think frog is mafia. the reason is the total lack of scumreads and the ease of townreads without much depth behind them

maybe I need to not let feelings play into reads (Will got on my nerves last game and was a goated PR), but Frog's tone rubs me the wrong way so far

this game is unique in that the town PR who are important dont know that they are even important, which is why I would be more sus of someone like Jamie here, or someone like Chaqa here who knows their role, and if it is town they know there really is a slim chance they are someone important. I dont think either of them played normally with that possibility in mind. I think they have both played as if they need to "do" some posts to look active as opposed to really getting invested.
And really why in gods name would any of us get a normal role PM, and do anything other than get curious? invested? compelled?

Is that a fair criticism? I dont know that Jamie entry and vote come from a place of curiousity about who could be scum. I dont know that town chaqa takes this route where he has no idea what his role is, whereas scum chaqa maybe sees this as a chance to attempt a joke and messes it up.
