chaqa just felt like trying to hit a post quota and act oblivious

which when he is town he is usually pretty shameless
and will flat out tell you he hasnt read, plans not to read, doesnt care about day 1 or something to that effect.

and his posts seem strangely filler and formulaic without the shamelessness of his usual meta

and lfischl seems like someone who barely plays, rarely posts, and often coasts or just lurks. he is trying and is actually forcing some things out and it seems rushed and almost like he is just doing this to benefit his scum rand as opposed to actually solving
chaqa not voting up every post makes me feel like he wouldn't forget to do that as mafia. Although the same non-upvoting of posts make me feel he is back on the table D1 for me ... (yeah, I know, shameless +1 goating)

I think worcej is town
I think your avatar is awesome.

Welcome to our site btw - have you done mafia before? I don’t read the signup threads significantly if you already answered this
Please tell me the difference of someone new thinking you are town this game and myself thinking you are town in the last game, early on D1, after you haven't posted much in both games.
The difference is my perception of players. I felt your conclusion in last game was lazy and possibly a pocket based on my experience of playing with you.

I am null on Frog - I am skeptical and suspicious on how much experience they have and am not looking at them as a new player.

Okay, now I've embarassed myself even more with that crosspost lol. Chaqa's entrance did feel a little weird, but I had put that down to poor execution rather than scumminess.

Fisch I thought felt the need to respond to direct questions from frogster, which feels like something he would do. He hasn't pinged me as scum!fisch with his responses, and he definitely does lurk as scum.
sure. those are explanations I can see as
possibilities. but at this juncture those are avenues not confirmed truth. Chaqa is often pretty unashamed of his play as town. he doesnt care about day 1 so what I see in his posts is that he did care enough to keep posting - for some reason

thought?
well, he kinda has a different energy from last game, where he was mafia. I'm not sure though if he just changed up his maf-strategy or if that makes him town. Need more of his input for better judgement.

Over the last 3 games, I’ve noticed that usually people who are scummy right out of the gate tend to just be unlucky and also victims of mafia manipulation. I don’t feel that lfishl should be suspicious just because of that.
So would that make you suspicious of frogster instead?
Well, no, I just used mafia manipulation as an example. Everyone is null to me except damo; his absence is clearly mafia strategy
that might be just a joke, but I wouldn't put it past damo to just keep away from posting to just wait until any attention on him has settled. With him not posting though, I'm unsure if that makes him mafia or town, maybe lean a bit more mafia, but since he is either mafia or PR (although PR doesn't mean too much this game), it's not too indicative in my opinion just now. Then again, I still have to read all, so maybe he posted in the meantime.

so far, I think a few peeps haven't talked anything? Maybe it might be a good idea to ask the GM to prod them a bit with a reminder? Just in case?

this game is unique in that the town PR who are important dont know that they are even important, which is why I would be more sus of someone like Jamie here, or someone like Chaqa here who knows their role, and if it is town they know there really is a slim chance they are someone important. I dont think either of them played normally with that possibility in mind. I think they have both played as if they need to "do" some posts to look active as opposed to really getting invested.
And really why in gods name would any of us get a normal role PM, and do anything other than get curious? invested? compelled?

Is that a fair criticism? I dont know that Jamie entry and vote come from a place of curiousity about who could be scum. I dont know that town chaqa takes this route where he has no idea what his role is, whereas scum chaqa maybe sees this as a chance to attempt a joke and messes it up.

or scum jamie just latches onto something because its easy
to be fair, it was very early when Jamie voted, but I very much like your thought process here.

I do think though, that it's not as big for chaqa as for Jamie. I honestly can see town chaqa just being chaqa here. But if he is town, he should be better as the sole survivor of M1, so absolutely no qualms from me for criticizing chaqa.

So you see it as town filler?
I could easily see Chaqa posting that as either alignment, it doesn't necessarily read as scum post-count ballooning to me.
why would town chaqa do that?
something something he did the same when we shared a college room (meaning there are some actions chaqa does without thinking because an idea just popped into his head or he just can't be bothered)

I wish though there wouldn't be a thing like "because chaqa"

think about this logically, if youre town acting weird, scum is just going to be like

"cool theres a town who has no idea what their powers are who is acting weird as shit and is just elim-bait"

"nice"

it accomplishes absolutely nothing, and just puts the gimmick out in a situation where mafia knows that any gimmick to bait kills is purely just ego and bravado
fair.

But some people just can't help acting as themselves sometimes. (not naming anyone specific, especially not myself  )

Does scum Jamiet latch onto easy things any more than town Jamiet? I feel like I'd have done something by now that would be easy pickings.

I think Jamiet was just here for launch of game. Lack of activity since then is not indicative of anything.
true, but still, he's different from last game, if ever so slightly. Doesn't make him lock-mafia, but it pinged me. Brain sensing something too there kinda empowers my ping so I'm very fine to explore it further.

Ignore the second post in this group.
Look at this guy trying to pad out his post count to make it look like he's been active in the game.
hmm ... this post feels to me like Jamie and chaqa aren't mafia together.

Thoughts?

Neph, worcej, sweet, and heart I am pretty ambivalent about. Kind of D1 pop-ins, letting us know they're here.
Do you have expectations of people in the first 24 hours of a game?

brainbomb, are sweetycool and Will your strongest townreads?

Why would you propose becoming an "ally" and forming a "voting bloc" versus simply debating your top scumreads with them to see if your ideas are aligned?
Are you troubled by the idea

will is our honorary LU lion here
