Phase ends today at normal time. In about 7.5 hours.

I figured Jamie would be up anyways. And it’s likely before all the Americans’ plans. And Monarch probably can make it too, but I was less sure if she’d be awake either way.

I hope there isn’t too much objection to that. I am willing to reconsider and provide extension if the community has widespread concerns.

Also I’ll be traveling by train for next 4 hours with small child. Checking in sometimes but with no flavor text and by mobile.

That means any distance voting of scum teammates was over and there was no bussing at that time. I think what we decided to do with the scan probably helped discourage bussing, because the mafia would want to avoid ending up as the second wagon. In any case, the mafia were in a good position, with all votes on town with the possible exception of my vote on Hamilton.

Assigning Just to his most recent vote of damo, the possible mafia were distributed like this approximately 2 hours before EOD:

We know two out of the three players in this list are town.

Case 1: Ham is scum.

Does Ham try to throw doubt on a list of scumreads that is at least 66% town? Is he trying to distance from a teammate (Mad) by bussing and having opposite reads? Could Jamiet be his teammate?

Case 2: Ham is Town.

Then Ham saw Mad's post, totally disagreed and felt the need to reply and tell Mad what was what.

While it is possible, I sincerely doubt Case 1. This post is more likely organic, and now that we know two of the players on the scum list he was arguing against were town, it indicates to me that he is town.

I haven't spent much time looking at it to see if, and where, it falls apart.

I think the way he lays out his thought process is easy to follow and feels logical, at least those initial steps grouping people based on who voted for confirmed town and how they moved. Some of the finer details, like who happened to be voting together on the two snapshots Bozo provided, don't feel as important (and I'm not just saying that because I'm on that list).

I've been planning to go in myself and do a better analysis of D1 and the vote but have been in a bit of a fog today since I stayed up pretty late.

I liked the first part of your analisys, the game mech gives little incentive for scum to be bussing and the three main D1 wagons D1 being town show this. The lack of great movements on EOD is also probably affected by that, but we have to quick wagons on Just and Ham.

I don´t agree much with the last part. Basing all the analysis on an arbitrary (2-1-1) wagon distibution seems like Damo´s attemps to shorten the possible pairing based in his own assumptions. On D1 with little incentive to buss and little movement at the end, we could have other kind of distribution like 2 -2- 0 or even 0-3-1 or something like that. There is more or less what I was criticizing on Hamilton talking about Kak´s voters, this kind of analysis looks like an excuse to not consider peoples actions and motivations.

For example, you are voting Heart. Do you think his vote on Ham with 08 minutes to EOD to put him on the lead is bussing or do you think he just decided to change from one town to other town to get some attention or what?

I think heartthrob could make that vote as mafia regardless of Hamilton's alignment, but I suspect Hamilton could be mafia, so I suspect heartthrob might have been bussing him.

Besides heartthrob fitting as mafia with the wagon distribution, I think he has been playing in a way to avoid drawing suspicion in a way I suspect he would as mafia. For instance, following ghug onto the dargorygel and Monarch wagons, and following the Hamilton momentum D1.
