Re: Twenty Questions - Game 162
it is, in fact, ALEXANDER BUTTERFIELD. And bonus points for the clever way of saying it.
Alexander Butterfield, Deputy Assistant to President Nixon. Famous for being the one to disclose to the Senate Watergate Committee the existence of the Oval Office taping system. The one disclosure, more than any other, that brought down Nixon.
I didn't think you were going to get it. Kudos Spartaculous!

I've been reading a good book on Watergate recently, so he has been on mind. And All the President's Men is one of my favourite movies.

Great! Thanks for picking someone at the sweet spot of challenging but gettable. My late-night musing was on the mark (18 1/2 minutes of missing tape).cdngooner wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 3:47 pmit is, in fact, ALEXANDER BUTTERFIELD. And bonus points for the clever way of saying it.

My computer is having trouble right now (I'm doing this from my phone), so I might wait until later today to post the next round.
