It is possible HB claimed the shot on sweetandcool after ordering a shot on ghug, taking the chance ghug was not around, but it does not seem very likely.Macca573 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 6:07 amI thought about this too, but ghug hadn't posted for 6 minutes beforehand (I thought it was longer than that but oh well)bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 5:45 amI like this idea, but HB claimed the shot 12 minutes before the ghug shot was announced, I think HB would have waited to make sure ghug did not counter-claim him.
Does anyone remember if ghug is a name shower or a anonymous guest type person?
That could give HB enough time.
Also consider HB gave the order, than had to post before the second shot to remove suspicion, and the 12 minutes is just Jamie.
Maybe I'm going crazy
I think that would be more impressive than HB shooting sweetandcool himself as mafia.

Maybe, if the user of the repair kit repaired an axe and would not be holding it until they were able to use it in the next phase.Macca573 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 6:14 amExcept the repair kit?
However, I don't think there is any reasonable way sweetandcool could have used his item before being shot.

Yeah, I can't see any way this happens outside of same-time use shenanigans.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 6:21 amMaybe, if the user of the repair kit repaired an axe and would not be holding it until they were able to use it in the next phase.

Unless ghug and sweet both shot themselves. but that is unlikely

I just saw that this was already answered:Macca573 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 1:16 am##CALL GMHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 1:11 am2 or 3. We don't know if the game started with 4 or 3.
Regarding the item-hunting, I am not sure. Knowing that there's variety of items out there, picking off town might prompt lost items. I don't know. Either ghug didn't have anything or we don't get to know the item.
Are items revealed on flip?

I just noticed that the item list contains no asterisks. Is this an oversight or are all items available to either alignment?
now we know he's mafia, what does that tell us about which item he had?

Do the mafia know each others items?
I know scum roles are sometimes posted in the scumchat D1, I'm wondering if the items get the same privliges.

Re: MAFIA 83: HALLOWE'EN IN THE TOYSHOP - GAME THREAD
Rereading sweetandcool's posts, it seems like he made pocketing type posts about Bonatogether, dargorygel, ghug, JustAGuyNamedWill, Kakarroto, ND, and SpiritoftheRadio. sweetandcool expressed suspicion of Hamilton Brian and brainbomb, but Hamilton Brian has claimed the shot on sweetandcool and brainbomb has claimed a town only item.
So, based on sweetandcool's posts, I think damo, RHK, Macca, rdrivera, Vecna, and worcej are reasonable suspects. I am OK with damo's D1 EOD, and I like Macca's HB theory. RHK, rdrivera, Vecna, and worcej are also low level participants so far. rdrivera defended sweetandcool in a way I would not expect as mafia, so maybe the remaining mafia are the 3 players with the fewest D1 posts.

I think worcej's vote for sweetandcool and sweetandcool's response seem consistent with bussing. It reminds me of M1024.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 2:57 amI disagree, his post was classic Ham-is-scum.
But actually other than that, most of his posts after that have actually seemed more like town. I am going to have to look through the thread again and reassess, but I'm still okay with my vote. Last game Ham did a really good job acting, so I know he can project towniness pretty well, except for the occasional slip.

Also, I will always be concerned that Vecna would have been mod-killed if he was town.

I think it more likely there was no sub and Vecna told Jamie about his Lost Weekend.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2023 7:34 amAlso, I will always be concerned that Vecna would have been mod-killed if he was town.
Anyway we shouldn't game the GM and this should not be a consideration.

The Mafia are allowed to talk at night.
They were not pre-notified of each others' items.
