I honestly did at the time he originally made the accusations. But I have explained multiple times and I don’t think any progress is going to be made. So it was originially, but now, not so much.

Then why do you assume he would have checked? Even if he's town, isn't it possible he's town who's not reading carefully and is constructing lazy arguments?

First of all, brain, Macca and Will, I want to say I'm sorry you lost your nice items/preferred role, since I was kinda the trigger who's responsible for; I messaged jamie on discord when I noticed three names in red in the discord list and so it came to the reshuffle. I hope you don't take that personal, but it just wouldn't have been a game if I didn't inform jamie.

The whole thing is also why I think sweet townslipped earlier, so he's off the table. RD is his usual and with his birthday bonus, I'm not voting him today (unless he mafslips or something big). Bona looks fine to me, have nothing to complain. Spirit, Will and ND look all good with their involvement too, so for today I don't want to vote either. Especially ND here I think wouldn't vote himself when he was mafia like that. I like Vecnas posts today so far, feels pretty towny to me and I think town Macca is just sad that he didn't get mafia again.

brain and ghug look like theirselves, maybe worth a look or two, but overall they seem fine enough for today, I think. I like that ghug is trying to be tricky. Bozo looks ok enough too for today.

I could see me vote for worcej, Brian, RHK today. Well, maybe just let RHK get replaced if he doesn't post, I guess. Also, I'm not too sure on Brian, some of his posts make me want not to vote him. And worcej said he was town, and I'd hate if he is holding a town-item and I'd push him to claim before EoD.

Yeah, so there is a lot to unpack here on 23. I’ll just make a general comment instead of replying to someone in specific.

A) If you believe Will is town then you are willing to accept that he is just a ‘new town player’ who is in way over his head. He doesn’t understand the game. He contradicts himself. Doesn’t know what a vote is or who is voting for him. He thinks people who post a lot are town and those who don’t are mafia. He is essentially clueless. You have to be willing to make those assumptions. These assumptions overlook one large red flag from Page 11-12 though.

B) When Will began to post today, earlier, on 11-12 he singled Macca out and said they were scum? Why? Who knows, but he contradicts himself on it and he walks it back. Macca becomes someone on the 'radar.' Never giving any kind of clear answer in the moment. This reeks as someone trying to hide or obfuscate the situation. It's something that is unexplainable. I think he accidently called out a team mate and is trying to bury that fact and walk it back. If he is new town, then why not just say, "hey I made a mistake. I'm new. What's a scum. What do I need to do to help the town win? Please can someone explain the rules to me?" He only starts to do this later when he gets pressure.

I’ll remind you all that this is not a guessing game. This is a reading comprehension game. And to answer Will, “why not kill the person who would contribute the LEAST to a town victory” how do you know this? Voting for someone who hasn’t posted is pretty anti-town behavior. If Demon is town and they are killed then there are literally no connections to draw upon or to do further inquiries upon. We can’t see who talked to them, who may have slipped in a conversation, etc. It’s essentially null and meaningless. If they are scum then we are one step closer to victory, but have gained no further information from them. Concerning Sweet & Ghug, “he could just as easily be floundering town.” Explain the red flag that I have identified from Page 11-12 to me.

Now that ND is watching a movie and I can text in peace, here goes.

A) I have played mafia before. Usually games start with a night kill. Usually games don’t have a day 1 kill. Usually games don’t have items. Usually games have 8-10 players, not 17. I am truly a clueless townie and you are starkly overestimating my abilities.

B) I didn’t mean anything of it. Macca, I apologize for the message. It didn’t really mean anything other than you could be the mafia. I don’t really know how else to put it. I’m sorry.

C) This is true. But if Demon continues to be silent, that is one potential town that won’t be campaigning against a mafia because: they won’t be campaigning against anyone. I removed my vote from Demon because I agree with your take. But don’t pretend like my take didn’t at least have a little merit.

Well, maybe you could argue RHK, but darg has posted already, RHK might just have forgotten or phone problems (he said something in the sign up thread that he only plays over phone right now, AND that he has some problems with the phone, as far as I remember?) so for that I de-prioritise RHK here.

I don't actually. I thought I did, but I just re-read his 10 posts, and they're not great.

I think I might just be positive on him because he convinced me to play.

well, 'case' is a strong word, I've just looked and sorted the people I think are town or close enough out, then looked at those that remain; a no-show, Mr. Claim McFirstday, Brian "I have the worst luck rolling mafia" Ham and darg. And while the first three have a reasonable crowd drawing attention, darg had none.

Regarding brain, I don't think he will get voted out today, but you are free to do with your vote what you want. If brain is your best read for mafia, I'd say stick with it. Though last game, where I spectated, I first thought brain was mafia, but when I joined the god thread, I saw he was doc. So maybe it's just the item that makes him play differently. Or you are right, I don't know. I don't see him as a baddie here.

he didn't connect jamie with jt, which is his discord handle. If he was mafia, he would've linked this directly since jamie needed to remake the whole server and invite the people, so in the world where sweet is mafia, he would've never asked that question since he would've instantly made that connection.

I mean, I've made that connection when I read that, but only because I messaged jamie before due to the red names incident, so that's why that was fresh in my memory. Although bona said it was just a typo, so I guess it was a wrong connection. Still, I don't think maf-sweet would ever ask that.
