Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
Thank you all for indulging me, and I hope it's not too annoying to read all of that.
While I am 100% certain that Ham is the remaining Mafia, if somehow it is Jamiet, then I concur with Ham that Jamiet has played an incredible game.
I would also like to say that Ham has played an incredible game as Mafia and I applaud him for it.

Ok then.
If I'm wrong, sorry. But this is what I decided I would do, if I remained alive.

Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
We find an empty bed waking up to the repetitive tune of "I Got Ghug Babe" by Sonny and Cher. The first sight is the ghug-covered window, providing a view of the annual Groundhog Day festival in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. As ghug gazes upon the proceedings, an odd sense of déjà vu creeps over him. Ghug by ghug, he reluctantly gets ready for his assignment as a weather reporter, his attitude mirroring the initial frustration of being stuck in the endless cycle of this peculiar day.
Interactions amongst the townsfolk are tinged with a touch of ghug frustration as they grumble through conversations, wishing for weather forecasts with a hint of sarcasm. Ghug by ghug, the day unfolds with the same series of events. As ghug encounters the cheerful Groundhog Day revelers, he can't help but feel like an outsider in a world that remains constant while he's stuck in this perplexing time loop. He engages in the festival's traditions, such as ghuging the weather based on the groundhog's shadow, all the while grappling with the surreal repetition that defines his existence.
As the day unfolds, the people of Punxsutawney, including the ever-optimistic Rita (played by Andie MacDowell), continue their routines, each ghug feeling remarkably familiar to Phil. The charm of the small town and its residents begins to seep into him, even as the ghug cycle persists.
HAMILTON BRIAN has died. He was PHIL CONNORS, a MAFIA GOON.
THE TOWN HAS WON M1026, AND WILL GET TO REPEAT THE SAME DAY WITH ME AND WITHOUT PHIL FOR ETERNITY.
Thanks for playing.

But does this mean I posted my case in vain? I wasted like 30-60 minutes of my life on that.

*slow clap*
Well done you bastards. Way to align and get it right!

It was a nice effort HB. I'll take the fall for it. You did fine. At the end of the day it was Bozo's brilliant detective work that got me and you.
Good job Bozo. I'm very impressed.

Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
OH YEAH!
Sorry HB. Good try.
To explain:
1. I accepted Bozo's case on HB; it was good work.
2. The more I looked at Sweetandcool, the more his slips looked like genuine slips, and the more his defences persuaded me.
3. However, my strategy for the whole night was to hint that my prime suspect was still Sweetandcool, and that I would be reluctant to vote HB (hence defending him during the night and refusing to fully engage with Sweet's defences).
4. My intention was, if (3) came across succesfully:
- 4(a): If Sweetandcool is Scum, I would appear to be the main threat to him, so he would NK me instead of Bozo.
- 4(b) If Hamilton Brian is Scum, I would appear to be much less of a thread to him than Bozo, so he would kill Bozo.
5. Therefore, if I survived the NK, I planned to endhammer Hamilton Brian immediately.
6. I woke up alive. The NK indicated Sweetancool was not scum, therefore I ended on HB.
And here we are, Town wins!
Sorry to put you under so much pressure even when I thought you were Town, Sweeandcool, but you can see, from my perspective, it was necessary.
GG town, hard luck scum, thanks to the GMs!

You played very well! Other than that post I called extremely scummy, practically the only thing that convinced me was PoE.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 11:48 pmWell...clap clap clap clap clap clap.
