Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
At 55 minutes to 25 minutes D1 EOD, there was a 4 way tie between ND, Hamilton Brian, Jamie, and sweetandcool, which means the 2 mafia were tied for the lead.
HB broke the tie with this:
However, when ND and Jamie became tied at 3, HB posted this:
In summary, although HB voted for ND at 25 minutes until EOD to break the tie, it looks like we was willing to move to Jamie to break the tie if damo had said to, and for the last 4 minutes did not have the option.
HB broke the tie with this:

There's no basis to any of these votes. No gut, nothing.
So, let it rip.
##Vote ND to get out of tie-ville.
However, when ND and Jamie became tied at 3, HB posted this:
As I have said previously, this seems like HB was trying to get damo to convince him to vote for Jamie, because damo had already stated his preference:Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 9:55 pmSo damo, if I'm not getting flashed...which of jamie or ND is more mafia-esque? I can't really tell?
damo666 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 8:29 pmYou will when we have more to go on.worcej wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 7:48 pmI didn't say I expected him to be active - I said I expected more from him because of the shortened gameJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2023 7:25 pm
Find me a game where Town Damo was super active on D1...
I would prefer Ham to sweet but sweet is Ok. I do not want an ND vote today.
Very early doors but I think the pair are in {sweer, Ham, worcej, Jamie}.
Then, damo changed his vote to HB, brainbomb changed his vote to Jamie, and the vote was tied between ND and HB at 3. At that point, HB as mafia would have been stuck, because there was nothing he could do to prevent himself or ND from being the DK.
In summary, although HB voted for ND at 25 minutes until EOD to break the tie, it looks like we was willing to move to Jamie to break the tie if damo had said to, and for the last 4 minutes did not have the option.

Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
If Jamie or sweetandcool are town, 5 out of the 6 town players ended D1 voting for mafia. If HB is mafia, 3 out of the 6 town players ended D1 voting for mafia.
Although it would be nice if it was 5 out of 6, that does not seem as likely.

HB was willing to vote for any of his 3 scum reads D2:
Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 2:27 amIt's a weird situation. I am stuck thinking the remaining mafia is in this pool of damo worcej sweet.
Right now gut is saying ##vote damo
Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 12:39 pmJust waking up.
Looking at the fact that I am voting with my pool makes me question everything. I don't like it. Let me retract and move over to ##vote sweet for now.
worcej and sweetandcool were already voting for damo when HB voted for damo, which makes his reason for changing his vote to sweetandcool seem questionable.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 1:44 pmThe tenacity of the argument and being town-clear makes it a clear jump.

Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
I think I have only played one previous game with sweetandcool, and apparently there is no reference for him as mafia, but I would be surprised if he is mafia this game. His explanation for the discrepancies in his town slips seem reasonable. For instance, reading the factional roleblock as a roleblocker seems plausible, and sweetandcool's posts D1 are consistent with him thinking there were 3 mafia except for not pickup up on my 25% random chance, which is minor. Also, I think he meant to ask if the doctor should claim so that we would know who he protected, not realizing that the doctor save would be notified, I don't think he meant to ask if the doctor and the doctor's save should claim independently as a fake town slip.
I am more concerned that you could have been hard bussing ND D1, but I think it is more likely ND and HB were bussing each other.

This is precisely the case. Otherwise I would have just skipped to asking that the person who was saved claim.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 11:53 pmI think I have only played one previous game with sweetandcool, and apparently there is no reference for him as mafia, but I would be surprised if he is mafia this game. There was no reason for the doctor to claim, except I thought they needed to tell us who was saved.

Boze, you've done a nice job of constructing a narrative of me as mafia. Sweet, well done. You've convinced bozo. I am not sure if you've convinced jamie.
Interesting how your D1 vote isn't getting the same level of scrutiny.

Does this post have an extremely scummy sheen or is it just me?
Also, I'd love if anyone can dredge up a post where I even expend any effort trying to convince Bozo of my alignment, because I can't even think of a single post.
I've attempted to convince Jamiet a bit, but I haven't even made my case yet.

I'm still going to work on providing a case for my innocence, but can't you see Ham is scum here, Jamiet?Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 1:37 amBoze, you've done a nice job of constructing a narrative of me as mafia. This was a completely inorganic statement, it has to come from Mafia. Any slight doubt I had had been eliminated. Ham is Mafia.

HB's post has a defensive tone,.but then Bozo is pressing a case on him so I'd be defensive too.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 2:13 am@JamietHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 1:37 amBoze, you've done a nice job of constructing a narrative of me as mafia. My primary suspect is still Sweet.
I don't wish to discuss it further until daybreak.

I will say:
Only one person is still alive, who did not vote ND on D1.

One thing that would be helpful is if you listed all the reasons you suspect me.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 7:11 amMy primary suspect is still Sweet.
I don't wish to discuss it further until daybreak.
As far as I know, the main reasons are:
1. The multitude of "fake" townships.
2. Two apparent contradictions (doctor and saved) (something else I don't recall right now.
3. Not voting ND?
4. Not engaged as much as normal?
I know 1. And 2. are true. Are 3. and 4. factors?
Is there anything I'm missing?

Items 1 and 2 are the main causes for my suspicion.
The second example in (2) was whether or not you knew the number of Mafia in play.
Items 3 and 4 are very much secondary.
There is another quite significant factor but I don't want to talk about it at night.
