Couldn't you have just asked that in your mafia chat and had it answered there?

I'm town. I don't have access to the Mafia QT.

Fucking sad as anything. Been bawling all day. Horribly sad news but it's a huge weight off my shoulders.

I have re-read Hamilton Brian's D1 and nothing jumps out at me. He is somewhat light-hearted and not very involved in actually doing anything. I didn't notice anything new.
If he is the final Mafia he does a good job of flying under the radar.

I continue to think that the evidence against Sweetandcool is greater than the evidence against Worcej because it is based on actual, significant inconsistencies.
The case on Worcej is less compelling to me (and that's in spite of Worcej's shitty attitude).

I concur. I also finished his D1 and it didn't have much substance.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 4:49 pmI have re-read Hamilton Brian's D1 and nothing jumps out at me. He is somewhat light-hearted and not very involved in actually doing anything. I didn't notice anything new.

If you wanted to be paranoid, you could consider this to be Ham telling ND he is going to bus him.

Well, we know what final three we want to avoid. We will surely lose if it's Jamiet, worcej, sweetandcool (unless Jamiet actually is the final Mafia).Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 4:53 pmI continue to think that the evidence against Sweetandcool is greater than the evidence against Worcej because it is based on actual, significant inconsistencies.

That won't be the final three because one of the three of us must die today.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:02 pmWell, we know what final three we want to avoid. What struck me is that ND responded to it and I don't think they took it as a joke either.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 4:38 pmI just realised this was a jokeHamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 1:13 amI am a bit muted today. How would even pull that off using those words? That's stretching it into a pretzel, sweet.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:00 pmI concur. Finished rereading Ham. I don't think he's the one. Ignoring VCA, I think he's seemed a bit more town than not.
But VCA just makes him extremely likely town.

True. I guess what I actually meant is that if you and I are in the final 3 together then it's a guaranteed loss because you'll make the wrong vote (unless you are Mafia).Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:22 pmThat won't be the final three because one of the three of us must die today.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:02 pmWell, we know what final three we want to avoid. So the question for today is, do we vote worcej? Or do we vote sweetandcool/Jamiet so that we stand a chance on the last day?

I agree that it's a paranoid stretch. But honestly that joke is great cover, and I think it would be easy to interpret correctly.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:33 pmHow would even pull that off using those words? I think the only difficulty in interpretation for ND is whether it's a message asking to be bussed or telling ND he will be bussed.
Actually both things happened, so it doesn't even matter.

Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
WE're essentially stuck in a standoff. The four of us are pointing a thumb at ourselves declaring, "I am town." The other hand's pointer finger is spreading across the other three saying, "One of you is mafia."
I've got some downtime today on account of the holiday so I'll be rereading the three of you. I'm going to take bozo's analysis alongside worcej's refutation of it as well.

Yeah, with that added in I would say the message is more confusing than it should be if you were trying to communicate.
Verdict: Extremely unlikely.

I am going to suggest you get outside for a walk. Although that's given me something to consider on your behalf next time we play a game.
"Remember when sweet said messages could communicate something else..."
Actually, I won't really remember, but it is something to pay attention for as I look back at your Day 1.

Hey, and it's likely I missed it, where did you wind up going for your surprise get-away?

Not only was it a surprise trip, but it was a surprise birthday party. My wife took me North, which after a while caused me to realize we were headed to my family.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:51 pmHey, and it's likely I missed it, where did you wind up going for your surprise get-away?
We stayed at my Aunt's house for the week, and spent a lot of time with my mom and sister (sadly, my Aunt was unable to get time off, so we spent most evenings with her).
The biggest surprise is that months ago my wife had secretly stolen my phone and got the numbers of my two pals in Washington and invited them to the party.
We ended up having a game night the day before we left, and we taught one of my friends how to play Mahjong. And played Betrayal on the House on the Hill which is always lots of fun.
And everyone got to see our two kids who had grown quite a bit since the last time they saw them. My daughter charmed everybody, and my son managed to get comfortable enough to sing all of his songs to my Mom. He has such a sweet singing voice <3

Re: M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]
After viewing Jamie's D1, I'm highly inclined to agree with Bozo's analysis in regard to Jamiet.
I think he gives himself too much credit for calling out ND for sounding fake, but that's townie. His real contribution was alerting Bozo to ND's oddity in claiming he liked Ham's wagon but not the people on it.
Looking at just D1, Jamiet seems very town.
