M1026: ghughog Day [Game Thread]

I, for one, am amused by this Groundghug Day theme and happy to be in a game again with Brain and even my old adversary, ND. It sucks we only have 8 players though, shame Maniac and Rdr didn't confirm. They must not have received Ghug's fax messages.

Jamiet's post reads like a boring politician's post at the start of some dumb debate. Thanking everyone for being here.

I think of this from a mafia perspective that he is saying this to set the standard of rudeness first and foremost with you (his teammate) as the target so that everyone he does it too after will all look like victims of his behavior.

maybe way too farfetched to imagine but it struck me as a great way as scum to open a game insulting my own teammate and use that shtick moving forward

And then as for the people who have posted we got Jam's acceptance award statement, Burp's non-player vote + DeSantis post, Sweet's reminder that he is yet again on vacation like we didn't see it in the game start post -filler content right here, Hamilton likes the flavor and talks to himself.

Think that about sums it up.

posts 23 and 24 he does back to back insults on s&c and hamilton
so at this point ND has made it pretty clear hes going to insult every person in some subtle way or poke at people. he is particularly harder on s&c calling his posts filler.

so the frustration at nothing happening we know is probably fake. and the anger at people doing nothing and saying nothing probably means ND and his scum buddy had already been active and talking. this is not sincere annoyance that his partner isnt playing yet. this is fake annoyance that town is hardly playing.

this is actually a very solid reason to vote ND. and this is also true. ND was trying to resurrect his old angry grouchface meta. the thing I question is not if Jamie is good enough to get this answer right, this fast, this easy. Jamie is totally able to acknowledge something like this and catch it for exactly what it is.

my question is, does scum Jamie see ND playing this badly and flailing this hard, and looking this fake and say to himself: "well I have to bus because ND is playing like a maniac"

Rest of the page is interesting. We have Jam and Ham playing to the meta and riffing off their simplistic and humorless posts from yesterday night. They both contributed next to nothing yesterday so there is only so long they can riff off each other before they run out of re-run content. Thank God almighty for that one. Continues the theme of Jam = Ham though.

Next. Brain makes some random post about Ham. And then Ham votes for Slippery because Slippery is on a vacation. It was probably Ham’s funniest post to date though but he just copied Damo so no credit. Important factor is Slippery voted for Brain and parroted my logic about Brain because it is undeniable with anyone more than one brain cell that Brain is extremely divorced from this game.

ND would not accuse sweet of parroting if they were mafia together imo. he refers to sweet as slippery several times so I think its safest to assume sweet isnt his buddy. imo

I do find it funny that Jam is so biased that after many years he hates me so much he (like other people ) refuses to actually read and engage with the game and just votes me. 48 hours basically and no one even cares

For example I asked you a question about who you think is scum and who is town, on Hamilton's wagon, since you said you suspected some of the people on it, but not all - but you failed to specify which was which. You haven't answered that yet.

well in that situation it felt like the only other person there was damo and we were not going to get the votes needed to kill anyone other than ND. I also had been townreading bozo strongly and was willing to just follow him instead if your wagon wasnt gonna happen there

Your vote on Hamilton caused a 3-3 tie with the ND wagon. Hamilton was a viable wagon and Bozo had just said that he would be willing to join the Hamilton wagon. You left your vote on Hamilton for around 45 seconds which didn't give Bozo very much time to join you.

Why do you scumread me?

I felt like early game your entry and NDs entry felt like you were both mafia trying to put down a fake feud early and spew content into the game to resemble town

the thing is though worcej was being nice to ND. and was saying how happy he was to see him back. and was claiming ND is a straight shooter who tells it like it is. much of this maybe comes from a mutual dislike of durga. but if that was the rallying cry for everyone being friends sure myself and you jamie wouldve been added to the love circle.

But I also think him being pleasant to somebody (worcej) just creates a (possibly planned) WIFOM.

Also, since worcej was being nice despite ND's abrasiveness, maybe ND didn't feel like they could organically pull off being mean to him too.

That's right, it was Worcej. There was a whole section on page 7 where ND was polite and nice to Worcej.

But why would he treat his team mate totally differently than everyone else? ND is not entirely stupid. Surely he would realise this would stand out?

Perhaps he was trying to pocket Worcej, or falsely condemn him if he (ND) was the first Mafia to die.

I do not think that by itself makes you the most likely to be the remaining mafia, but Jamie, HB, and brainbomb voted for ND, ND looked to be setting sweetandcool up for a mis-kill, and damo's EOD votes helped get ND DKed, despite damo never voting for ND.

Yes, I think it more probable than the remaining scum bussing, but I would not rule out bussing.
