Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
if I show up late, its the easiest misskill on me youre ever gonna get, potentially.
pretty lucky I even remembered I was playing this game this morning and decided to take some time and read it.

Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
I dont have any complete lock-towns yet from the catchup, but im pretty sure my readslist right now looks something like;
Rdrivera
HB
Kakkarotto
Sweet
Fox
Bunny
Bona
Worcej
Rdrivera
HB
Kakkarotto
Sweet
Fox
Bunny
Bona
Worcej
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
and I fully intended sweet and fox to appear more greeny than that colour.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
How did kaka get all greeny in your readthrough and why bona so red?
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
but still, this game I dont have anywhere near as many certainties as id like to have.
Tough game.
Which makes sense with the red names.
And sweet hasnt been quite as obvious as last game. Fox is also always an enigma, but he seemed pretty fired in his convictions.

Because always when he's scum all he does is just pretend to be silly and reckless.
Even more so than as town. He becomes a caricature of himself because he knows people interpret it as his real self.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
And even on kakka im not fully sold, but he's doing a magnificent job if he is indeed scum to be changing our minds.
All of it is appearing quite towny and real.

anyways gotta run for a bit, back later.
##vote Worcej
for me its a flip between worcej and bona today.
Id prefer those both over bunny, but I think all 3 of you are much more likely scum than the rest of the game, so id vote any of those 3.

Just made plans to go to the beach later...so I'll not be around much this afternoon.
I do agree that town!worcej usually makes more sense to me. ##vote worcej.

Not gonna build a solid case with line items.
His tone is wrong.
His comments are off.
The comments I expect town!sweet to make don't come.
Every error he makes is unlike my memory of him.
So....am I tunnelling? Sure am. Does flipping sweet also provide a bunch of intel when he's scum? Sure does!
As for "nihilism"? No...
This game was dead. I'm just changing the tempo.
Fox's earlier point about his posts being off was weird
His whole post that was weirdly edited, revised, and in one post went from scumming me to strong town reading me was weird.
all previously discussed.
2) true but unconvincing
3) that's not weird at all. i've done that in other games

I'm switching to my 2nd vote because Bunny's vibing here.

Care to explain this? "(c)1994 Zauberer der Küste" (I know)
The question is, was Kak trying to encode some information, was it an honest mistake, or was it a scumslip?
Thoughts?![]()
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
This mostly goes nowhere because of lack of votes or posts. I think Vecna is unlikely to drop an anchor vote on Kak if they are scum together. But otherwise, everything is pretty plausible.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Where did those possible pairings come from?
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Worcej and Bunny are too obvious, so I don't think they're scum.
That means that looking at the final D1 wagons, either Kak is scum or Vecna is. And then it's two of Hamilton, Rdr, and Bona.

Head-to-head of two lowish posters, two mid-range posters, two high posters.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2023 12:12 pmWhere did those possible pairings come from?
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Who called you nihilistic? Whatever post that was was similar to my thinking.
And Worcej has been low activity, there are a bunch of people he's barely mentioned (notably, Bunny, he hasn't typed the trigram BUN at all this game...), he responded to several posts with images of cards, etc etc.
It's entirely possibly both/either of you are scum and are just trying to prove that you can win as scum while blatantly being surly, but I don't think it's likely.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Hamilton agrees with my proposal to take me, Sweet, and Kak off the table today. So Kak-Ham-??? would make sense here, on the idea that HB knows he's not on the radar, so taking Kak out of the equation gives him pretty good odds that he push through another miskill.
