Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
GughDamnit!
You guys are soooo so wrong about sweet. And Fox's logic is bad.
Yes, he is correct that by not getting direct wagons on potential deep threats, we leave them until later.
But killing a scum player now gives us information on their interactions, confirmation on their votes, and ability to read their posts and posts about them (or actively ignoring them) with an idea.
##vote sweet
Would not consider:
rdr
Vecna
Fox
Bona
Would consider:
Hamilton
kak
worcej
would ##end sweet. I think this one's easy.

Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
well that's not good. I strongly felt ghug was town but I wasn't sure how the rest perceived him, so maybe I overdid it a bit with townreading him.
Or was that a PR hunt kill? I mean I believed ghug when he said that he had things to do and wasn't too available or active at the start, but maybe mafia took that up as a sign of being afraid of the vanillizer? I shouldn't have said anything about that.
Ugh, now I feel bad to maybe have caused ghug's demise.
But for now I try to make the best of it. Maybe fox isn't the answer. So I think we should go ##vote brian

also, I want to point out, I vastly disagree with bunny's view of the world. I'm not sure if that makes him more town or mafia, but I wanted to point that out.

I had a bad feeling ghug was going to be the NK. Too bad they were a PR to boot. I see there is some bunny nonsense upstream, but I'm busy now and will have to respond later.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Maybe Vecna will play the game today.
I'm going to spend some time seeing if I can piece together a theory of:
...one of Worcej and Vecna
...one of Bunny and Hamilton
...one of Kak and Bona

how do you have a conclusion before the argument? unless i misunderstand

You asked what I was thinking.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:13 pmhow do you have a conclusion before the argument? unless i misunderstand
The scummiest thing about fox is how he wants to ossicle miskill today and then say “NOW we get sweet!”
But he’s entirely correct that sweet isn’t saying the stuff I’d expect him to at any time. It’s not just what he’s saying, it’s what he’s not saying. None of it is town!sweet from recent games.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
For that matter, I'm not seeing town-Bunny from recent games either...BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:17 pmYou asked what I was thinking.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:13 pmhow do you have a conclusion before the argument? unless i misunderstand

I really really wanted to lurk and be quiet like recent games, but this game was dead.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:29 pmFor that matter, I'm not seeing town-Bunny from recent games either...BunnyGo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:17 pmYou asked what I was thinking.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 10:13 pm

My read on sweet. He's done nothing to change it; which granted, I change my scum reads slowly.

This afternoon slipped the shit past me.
The loss of ghug is a bit of surprise to me; I didn't townread them personally, but they had to have pinged mafia with something.

Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
I think that's being somewhat gratuitous, perhaps even unfair. I read yours last night with a bit of a jag on so I definitely need to reread it. It's going to be a bit muddy now with the loss of ghug.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 5:15 pm
"It’s the main analysis out there right now."
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Bona and I both put out substantial analysis, you even commented that you would read mine later. Why are you treating Fox's analysis as the only one, or at the very least as one worthy of worship?

Bona, I always need like a ...um...some sort of lexicon to get into your thinking. Like what do you mean "deja vu?"
