Last game, that is.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 7:35 pmYou forget that I love townslipping. I do it every game, and it even helped catch Ham D1.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 5:45 pmThe strange pauses in the post where Sweet clearly said an opinion, then went back and checked that the opinion was false, but left it in the post so we could see him checking.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 3:07 pm
Do you have anything to imply about the post, or maybe more clearly...what seems crafted? How would you have expected sweet to compose a post if they WEREN'T trying to "appear?"
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
I meant that you could be artificial intelligence and not even real people, for all I know. I was conveying that I don't really have a good grasp of the two of you yet.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 7:05 pmBunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 6:56 pmWhat post?Kakarroto wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 6:41 pmbut yeah, I should remember to vote. At the start of the game I had a bad feeling of about anyone who posted then, that went away though. From the rest of the game, I haven't seen too much what I'd deemed mafia would write.
I come back and back again to that strange fox post, where he said bona and me were nai but everyone else felt good and when I inquired about that because only one other player had posted at the time and it were only three words and he was so sure about that, even when he phrased it with 'everyone else'.
I mean with all the other posts, fox looks quite good, but that one strange post with that angle just gnaws and gnaws and I remember he also had some strange beginning posts when he was mafia in the pirate game.
So I'll ##vote Foxcastle because of that postOk, I have to say I misread the AI for NAI and he meant something different, that was my mistake. Or he mistyped and he actually meant nai not ai. But for now the AI thing itself is fine.
still that he puts worcej fully in one basket with only one 3-letter post doesn't change the angle, which comes much more from a mafia than a town.
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
I could vote for sweet or Kak. But I'm also content to stay on Damo. Low posting is scum indicative for him (see M79).
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
well, I'm a bit sus on worcej that fox practically declared him town without anything, but maybe that makes worcej just town if fox flips mafia. Worcej was a bit tight-lipped this game, but I haven't seen anything from him until now that would me think he's mafia.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 7:32 pmGah, these "resigned to my fate" posts always get me.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 7:21 pmwell, I think I'll most likely be the vote today. I've practically softed vanilla (or at least a role that's worth losing to the vanillizer if he strucks as I've mentioned before) so don't expect any wild claims from me.
This and the slow day looks like mafia is very content with how the day went. Maybe none of them are currently in any danger.
Also it seems people don't believe in my townyness so it's pretty hard to change that. I can only hope you look closer to fox after I flip, although, even when I have strokes of genius, my maf-reads on D1 are a bit on the weak side. So don't blindly follow that, but don't forget it please.
At least now I think we don't have a vanillizer in the game, or if then they had chosen some strange wording. I suggest, if you are afraid, stay away from memes, sayings or somewhat unusual phrasings. Like: "I'll be back." or "Time to duel!" (Maybe it's time to d-d-d-d-d-duel?)
So at least communication should be better with the ongoing time when people don't have to pay attention to their words.
What are your reads other than Fox?
I don't like Vecna's behaviour and vote, with that timing, but Vecna's too experienced to do that as mafia, right? Then again, he could think that we think that he wouldn't do that so who knows exactly? (brain does, but I'm sure he doesn't help us here)
Bunny, bunny, bunny ... hmm. In the 0.000001% chance rd flips mafia, bunny is sure town. Other than that? Well he looked ok enough, I think he also asked good questions, so maybe mafia, but more eh, not quite. I'd investigate him further though for his actions in the future.
Bona irked me at the beginning, well the "he's here" "he's not" because of his computer is absolute nai, still, bona's kinda ... different. I guess I could see me voting him if people shift to him.
Regarding rd, he was his usual self, so practically a 50/50 chance, but when I noticed the duo end voting sweet (duo=bunny/rd), rd went to a townlock for me.
Damo is ... silent. I don't like it. People say it's town indicative of him, or at least damo-indicative, but he's voting me and has all these wrong takes despite saying so little. I'm staying away though since fox is voting for him, so maybe damo is town somehow?
Ghug. Ghug is ghug. Very silent ghug, but he said it's because travel. Contrary to damo, what he says sounds good and logical, so I like him being around. I hope he talks much more in the next phases.
Brian is ... here, I think. Not saying too much, feels a bit like just existing. He's different than last game where he was my maf-dance-partner. So maybe that's just him, but I'd be a bit cautious here.
And finally sweet ... well you're wrong voting me, but maybe it's for the best. I had pondered of tie-ing you with me, especially since rd is voting you here, but I don't feel any maliciousness from your posts. Sure some strangeness and things I'd put under "

Wut? This is not at all what I said about worcej, because I haven't said anything about worcej.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 7:59 pmwell, I'm a bit sus on worcej that fox practically declared him town without anything, but maybe that makes worcej just town if fox flips mafia. You're the one who asked me to comment on worcej in the context of my statement that I don't know you and Bona very well, and my response was that I have played with worcej enough to understand him to some extent. (Not saying I can read his alignment, just that I know what to make of him.)

Can we not kill this guy today? Please? PLEASE!!!!Kakarroto wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 7:34 pmanyway, I wanted to say, bunny and rd can't be maf together. Both endvoting sweet in that way is no maf-behaviour, especially rd I can't see doing that if both are mafia. Honestly, I don't think maf-rd would even follow town-bunny in that way. So maybe rd is just town this game.

What's so great about that post?

Would scum-Bunny take a gamble on end-voting scum-sweet? I think so, yes.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 8:05 pmCan we not kill this guy today? Please? Would scum-RDR take a gamble on chasing his own teammate to endvote their compatriot? I could see that happening.
We've not seen Sweet as scum yet, but I think he could take a bus like that...
Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
that didn't read in that way to me. Not at the time. I'm looking at it again now, so ok, I kinda can see what you mean if I blink and skew my head a bit, but then again, why would you say 'everyone else' when there's only one other? That feels more like trying to fit your new interpretation here.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2023 8:03 pmWut? Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Hm, actually Damo has been hovering near the bottom of posters for a few games now. I remember finding a solid pattern leading up to M79, but M80, M1025, and M81 all have him as one of the lowest posters as town, town, and scum (respectively).

Of all the players, I think I have played with everyone well enough to understand them, excepting Kak and Bona.
Does it matter that Vecna or whoever else hadn't posted? No, because I wasn't saying that I've read them this game, I was saying that I have seen them around enough to have a sense of how they play.
It had nothing to do with who had posted. It only had to do with who I had played with before.
